Well said @shawnarenee.bsky.social and we as black women report it less often because of how the system treats us , when we report being raped. We get victimized all over again by our the system, our communities etc. It shows we are valued less than the men who harm us.

I get whats going on in this country. I educated my children on it. I’m in KY the Tyler Smith case is here and we advocate and protest against LPD and them not doing their job. @shawnarenee.bsky.social . I’m very invested and involved in my community and my degree doesn’t mean I’m not.

@shawnarenee.bsky.social I’m proud mom of sons who graduated from PWI. They had a village . They didn’t need mental or any self esteem help. I’ve heard people who went to HBCU who were bullied and had bad experiences. You can have issues at any college!

@karenhunter.bsky.social college isn't for everyone. Trade school and social services jobs like firefighters, police, emt. We as educators shouldn't force college on all students. We need plumbers, construction workers, etc. Vocational rehabilitation and Disabilites spaces are needed too.

Going to a black school doesn’t make anyone better than anyone else. My professors were black and I had that. So let’s focus on that. It doesn’t matter. The way some who went to HBCU act like they are superior no yo just had a different experience. My village was still very black.

No it’s not looked at the same way among other brown girls. Think about the clothes they make for girls.

I just added my shout-out to my two college graduates. One who is a college football player. And my daughter who is a college athlete and a sophomore! All my kids are thriving academically despite all the obstacles thrown in their way! I'm proud single mom of almost three sons who are graduates!
