@shawnarenee.bsky.social I’m proud mom of sons who graduated from PWI. They had a village . They didn’t need mental or any self esteem help. I’ve heard people who went to HBCU who were bullied and had bad experiences. You can have issues at any college!

@karenhunter.bsky.social college isn't for everyone. Trade school and social services jobs like firefighters, police, emt. We as educators shouldn't force college on all students. We need plumbers, construction workers, etc. Vocational rehabilitation and Disabilites spaces are needed too.

Going to a black school doesn’t make anyone better than anyone else. My professors were black and I had that. So let’s focus on that. It doesn’t matter. The way some who went to HBCU act like they are superior no yo just had a different experience. My village was still very black.

No it’s not looked at the same way among other brown girls. Think about the clothes they make for girls.
