Still got people coming to me all 😍 about Talarico and don't understand why I'm upset. Trans rights is the latest chapter in a long history of marginalized groups fighting for liberty and equality. Nilesh Ashra talks about how we are so used to computers being deterministic. Input A, output B. LLMs don't do that and they're not good for those tasks. They're stronger in areas like initial research, ideation, etc. It's going to take a while to get used to that and even longer to get good at it.

Agreed all around. Those who say this tech isn't useful for anything are just burying their heads in the sand. Whether it's moral to use is a valid question, especially for "art." But it will have profound effects on certain areas and fall flat in others. Those haven't been sorted out yet.
