TS UPDATES @ts-updates.swifties.social · 30/05/2025

🚨| Taylor Swift now owns the masters of all her albums—the masters, the recordings, the videos, everything!

“I’m trying to gather my thoughts into something coherent, but right now my mind is just a disheveled, fluttering mess. All the time I kept wondering when, why, and how I’d get a chance to get this told to you. All the time kept clenching close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through. I almost stopped thinking it could happen after 20 years of waiting for a carrot dangled and then yanked away. But that’s all in the past now. I’ve been bursting into tears of joy at random intervals ever since I found out that this is really happening. I really get to say these words:

All of the music I’ve ever made… now belongs… to me.

And all my music videos.
All the closet films.
The memories and photography.
The unreleased songs.
Every little bit. The magic. The madness.
Every symbol.
My entire life’s work.

To say this is a superstar’s dream come true is actually being pretty reserved about it. To my fans, you know how important this has been to me, so much so that I meticulously re-recorded and released it over and over, calling them Taylor’s Version. The passionate support you’ve given those albums and songs over the years brought The Eras Tour to life, and that’s what is bringing me back now. I can’t thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I have dedicated my life to, but have never owned until now.

All I’ve ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to be able to buy and purchase my music outright. I’m simply attached, in partnership, with full authorization. It will be forever, starting at midnight @ the moment Capital has transferred everything back over to the hands of me. Thank you to Taylor’s team, every interaction with the legal team has been honest, fair, and respectful. This was a nuanced deal, but it made me really feel like it was the way it was meant to be. I’m so glad it happened.

So yeah, basically, I am an exclusive buyer. My afterword really just to you, my champions, in this saga of long devotions.

twitter users that have come here because twitter is down, please don't return. the more of you we have here, the more we can rekindle the old twitter community (minus the nazi supporting) sincerely, a former twitter addict

that's so true. but I actually bought the prequel in my bookstore without any hearing of it (didn't know it was a prequel then, and haven't read it yet) and then I bought the main series a few weeks later when I found out so many people loved the main books...still have hope for the prequel

If your'e not leaving Twitter just yet, or mothballing your page, here’s how to stop it from using your data to train its Grok AI. X has enabled the new setting by default, but you can switch it off. Source: techcrunch.com/2024/07/26/h...
