My first rule of game design is never frustrate the player. They should understand why they failed, feel its their fault, and learn something that improves strategy on the next encounter. More simply stated, if your design causes the player to throw the controller, then it's bad design.

Well, perhaps there's plenty more to learn. I'm sure there is. "Done" for me just means I finished BroCode's youtube playlist of C++ tutorials (very nice resource btw), and am now taking the next step, looking into Raylib for Visual Studio to see what I can do with that.

A student's phone recharger battery exploded in his pants. The fire department had to get called, but the building itself wasn't in any danger. Kid had to go to the hospital I think, nothing deadly, just a big burn on his leg.

Update on making the tabletop game! I made a system to calculate the challenge rating (CR) of any creature. While level progression is linear, CR progression is logarithmic - a creature tends to be 2 times as hard to defeat as a creature whose CR is one less. This should make power scaling easier!

As you can see, Xbox held their presentation on 6/7, while Nintendo is holding theirs on 6/9. This is due to their core company missives; Nintendo holds fast to traditional (and successful!) gamer values, whereas Xbox is a brand that constantly tries to remain relevant by latching onto trends

Yeah I can see that. Some games just feel like they want to be movies or shows so bad, and they're only a video game out of necessity or something. Whenever I go to make a game, I want it to maintain the philosophy that a video game "shouldn't be ashamed of being a video game".

For one, I find that a lot of lesbians refer to themselves as gay, which leads me to believe the language of the word "gay" has shifted to be more gender neutral. Similarly, gay men sometimes specify themselves as MLM, as there's no single word for men that like men like there is for lesbians.

N is my fave in this group mainly owing to how his writing feels - his obsession with living a perfect life with "his" Mio at the expense of however many Keves/Agnus/City grunts it takes, feels very human, as opposed to just "I will change the world".

I might be generalizing a bit, but I see N, Jin, and even Egil and Lao as a similar archetype of side villain - they do incredibly evil things, and the protag still (somewhat) earns their respect after the fight, but before the confontation against the final big bad (Z, Malos, Luxxar/Lao, Zanza)
