#LGBTQWriteAThon October 3: Check in day! Considering I'm over juggling chickens & chainsaws over here (two books, two newsletters, moving to Italy at the end of the month, learning Italian) - yeah it was a good week. :) #queerwriters #writingcommunity #lgbtqwriters 📚🏳️‍🌈

Cleaning barnacles off the bottom of boats? I feel like that would be really meditative/satisfying, like popping bubble wrap.

#LitHodgepodge 3 Here's a pic of Jimmy the MC of my book Waterspout. Someone called him a "slutty little twink" but he's also a talented painter. If he could master a new hobby in one day, what would it be? #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts #WriteSky #queerwriters #lgbtqwriters #gaywriters 📚🏳️‍🌈

Historical event mentioned in my most recent novel "Waterspout" was the legalization of same-sex marriage in 2015 - MC Jimmy the party bottom didn't much notice or care until he met his future husband later. #QueerPrompts #queerbooks #lgbtqbooks #gaybooks #queerwriters #lgbtqwriters #gaywriters 📚🏳️‍🌈

#LitHodgepodge 2 "Looking" (2014-2015) is the show my "Waterspout" MC Jimmy would fit in. Just bc. it's gay and set in SF? There's never been a show about PNP gays that I know of. I have a terrible time with comps, too. 😆 #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts #WriteSky #queerbooks #gaywriters 📚🏳️‍🌈

💯 I wonder why we have to keep having this conversation in written fiction, but in movies for ex, it's understood the director or the actor portraying the character is not promoting the behavior. I don't know why "Hannibal" comes to mind, but no one thinks Anthony Hopkins actually eats brains.
