Mr. Steed @mrsteed.bsky.social · 14hThe script is very much an Oh, Maryfication of the Moliere, complete with anachronisms, but I didn’t find it out of place. I laughed and had a great time. (Who is the crush, though??) 100
Mr. Steed @mrsteed.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I had this issue with the late Fred, who refused aggressively to allow the vet to take a sample, then wouldn't pee on non-absorbent beads. After 18 hours of non-peeing, I let her out of the locked room, followed her to her usual litter box, and just held a juice glass underneath while she let loose. 110

Mr. Steed @mrsteed.bsky.social · 05/10/2026The book's by Merlin Holland, Wilde's grandson, and is as much a memoir about grappling with an ever-evolving family legacy as anything else. There's a late-chapter narrative about Holland attending a Pride parade in Moscow as a straight ally and meeting with violence, that I found really moving. 070
Mr. Steed @mrsteed.bsky.social · 05/10/2026It feels like weeks since I started Forever Oscar, an exhaustive and granular examination of Oscar Wilde's last years and legacy that begins the moment Wilde steps out of prison in 1897 and continues through 2024. Yet, I loved it. An easy recommendation for those into literary scandal and gossip. 2200
Mr. Steed @mrsteed.bsky.social · 04/10/2026P.S. It didn't happen. I got tired of the bad treatment and dumped him, mid-semester. Then he graduated and preyed on a high school kid less adept at standing up for himself. 1320
Mr. Steed @mrsteed.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Spent an hour with the journal my 19-year-old self in 1983, and was shocked—shocked!—to discover I expected possibly to move in, my senior year, with my college boyfriend. The boyfriend who made me walk 20 feet behind him on campus because he didn't want people to think we were 'that way.' 3390

Mr. Steed @mrsteed.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I walked in for my usual lookee-here-the-big-boss-wants-his-money-and-he-wants-it-today haircut yesterday and my ancient Italian barber literally said, "Hiya boys! I'm off to the hospital for open heart surgery!" and handed me off to the awkward bear barber, who gave me the tightest skin fade ever. 4431

Mr. Steed @mrsteed.bsky.social · 28/09/2026While I'm still mourning the loss of Fred last week, it truly has been nice not to have her standing on my chest and loudly meowing, starting at 4:30 am, to demand food. Ruby, on the other hand, has always been more of a "Hey you just go about your business I'll wake up when I wake up" kind of gal. 3510

Mr. Steed @mrsteed.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I was aware of Shirley MacLaine from a very young age because she was born in my Northside neighborhood in Richmond. Mr. Steed @mrsteed.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I loved the 2018 tour. Everything about it was perfect, from the sound to the arrangements to the energy.
