Twice a day, the North Sea rewrites this beach. I absolutely love the patterns it leaves… The patterns in the sand become channels, reflections appear and disappear, and the sand tells a different story every time the water retreats.

The Eurasian blue tit is a TINY bird, measuring about 12 cm (4.7 in) in length with an 18 cm (7.1 in) wingspan Their diet consists primarily of spiders, insects, and caterpillars during the breeding season, shifting to seeds, nuts, and berries in the winter. One of my favourites.

We were at Mt. Fuji yesterday/today, and found a new-to-us waterfall: Mother Shirataki. Very nice. Above my old stomping grounds between Kawaguchiko and Kofu, off of the old road which is no longer used by travelers.

The vibrant painted bunting found in America. Males are very colorful. The females are solid, yellow-green. Diet consist of seeds ,grasses and weeds and insects during the breeding season. The western painted buntings migrate to Mexico during the winter season.

This is Crazy Creek Falls. It was massive and we hiked right up to it…so beautiful. I should have do a longer video, but I didn’t love standing so close for too long.
