Oops, so after dusting my PC my fans are running super quiet. I guess that's been needed for a while 🫢 That's the issue with a large radiator block on the top side of the case, it's also where gravity dumps all the dust! It's been hiding in my fins!

I feel dutybound to point out that Volodymyr Zelenskyy started out playing a comedy character on TV who ends up becoming president (on TV) because people liked what he had to say, and then became president (in real life) for the same reason.

Does this mean they'll patch in all the devs names they have not added in the past? Because got loads of ex-Sony dev friends that never got added to credits, or were demoted in them to a thank you, dispite leaving in the last month of a project.

Management and some other devs that has come in wanted to be treated like a big boys studio and do shooty games like the Getaway again. If you wanted to do that there was a load of different Sony studios to move to. Ug, whole suitation pisses me off still to this day over 10yrs later. I told you so!

Know many of the dev team at LS were protesting moving away from kids games about the PSVR time. Warned them about this exact situation. Just was not listened to!

When Sony closed London Studio I knew it was only a matter of time. With nothing onboarding kids, they seem to assume tablet and roblox gamers will suddenly start paying over a years worth of pocket money when they become a teen for a game!? Tbh though, S2 Nintendo is not nearly as kids friendly.

Odd to be back at work. Amazing weekend of camping and snorkelling with my kid in the proper deeper sea for the first time. Spotted giant crabs and an octopus! But got home to find we had to put our cat of nearly 21yrs down, and then find my kids caught lyme disease from a tick bite last week :s

Apparently you can get fan coil units that replace radiators. Issue becomes wet dripping moisture everywhere, when we already struggle with high humidity and mold (temperat rainforest after all!). Have to get ones with drip trays or have to add whole new drain system for them all.

The one saving grace we have, is we hope that heat pumps can come around to reusing the pipework from central heating radiators, and take the heat out too. Again, limited by space, with water tank needed can only replace the size of the existing boiler.

Free standing units are beasts of things. If they designed one that can be much smaller, taken apart for sensible sized storage, kept a shed for most of the year - wouldn't be too bad. A friend has a 'small one' which we just do not have that floor real estate for or the ability to store one :s

Unfortunately, because of the 20" stone walls, and the ugly blocks that'll be on every wall, we'd probably only get permission for one. Which would still be an exceptionally high cost and will probably be dependent on planning which room we could do.

UK has swing windows as they naturally encourage airflow, stronger seal in strong winds & prevent leaks from the incredibly wet weather. So 99.8% of the year they are the best possible design for our climate. We were told only a High-Wall Split System (Back-to-Back Only) will work for us, per room.

Plus cost them, knowing they will be used for 5 days a year. And not assuming any holes can be drilled in any walls, or any pipes can be routed anywhere!

I simply don't have the floor space for one or a wall that I can chop a hole into. I don't have any wall cavity at all to run any piping The rooms are already tiny so adding a fake wall will stop our beds fitting in the rooms!

All windows swing open, so this or the letter box are the only solutions. However standalone units are massive, where as home sizes are tiny, so are effectively taking up proportionally MUCH more of the floor space of the house.

Nearly 1m thick stone walls made out of effectively flint, been up for +150yrs. No chance am I cutting a hole in that! Took the fiber guys a day and 4 drill bits to make a tiny hole for our internet!
