I have made a WoW themed stocking for my sister in law. It's a netherweave bag. The letters are a little wonky but it's pretty good for an improvised prototype. I want her to open it now! It's stuffed with Reese's peanut butter cups and kitkats.
A dark grey fleece item made to look like a netherweave bag looks like in inventory in world of Warcraft. I freehand machine embroidered the "netherweave bag" letters which are a little hard to read. There are 16 pockets, 4*4. I drew extra lines and small diamond shapes between the pocket corners with a sharpie. There is an x icon on the top right, as you would see on a window and a small purple bag on the top left to represent the bag icon.

Rectangle of jersey construction idea, sorry for bad drawing, I did it on my phone.
A badly finger sketched digital drawing of how I might use a rectangle of jersey, to make the sock bag. Fold the long side edges in to the center. Small middle red line is a seam for the phone part, then red lines for the seams on the top and bottom. Blue line in the center where the edges of the rectangle come together, cut through the other side. Generally jersey won't fray, probably test the material first. You could do this with the seams on the inside or visible external, decorative seams.

Smithsonian new England Vampire panic article I posted earlier has a gem near the end. The cursed "wandering foot" quilt pattern. Image below is from the pdf in the quilt website below. quiltindex.org/view/?type=p...
A blurry image from a pdf on a site linked below. It's an old newspaper article with an image of the quilt on the top left, and a picture of the journalist. I can't actually read most the text myself. Headline: No Bride Dared to Risk This Quilt in Household.
