Dubrovnik Old Town walls this morning. Fantastic!. We got up early and were on them at about 9. Not to busy. As we were leaving 2 cruise ships had spewed out their passengers and 000's were entering the town. Back to hotel for swim and pool. More important, last night I had a local dark beer. 7.3%

Going to get the 7 day pass for museums, galleries and buses etc. Do they do custom made omelette at breakfast? Can eat a small childs body weight of them . Not hot enough for shade bathing.

I hope they don't. Redundancy is a rubbish thing. Especially when it happened to me and they were advertising 2 posts (Science) I could do. I had already taught Science in that school but apparently at my redundancy hearing my qualifications weren't good enough.

Bizarrely his route through to Manchester virtually took him past our house! Quick pit stop to change shoes (trail shoes to road shoes). Him and his mate looking strong after 61.5 km (38 miles). And on they go.....

So having set off at 4am this morning my son is 1/3 (25k, 3.5 hrs) into his ultra marathon. Running over the pennines!! His madness in this is from his mothers side!

It is ridiculous that if you go into a pharmacy and ask for as many as you can have they will sell you massive boxes of about 90 of each (full strength) at the same time. I had it last week. Shocker. Get well soon. Lots and lots of hot Vimpto! Plus drugs!
