One night, a dream-
I'm sat next to a family in a cafe
or tavern, a family of 3
a gigantic brawny man,
quiet normal sized woman
and a baby in diaper.

Server comes to take their order
but asks first how they will pay
The man looks at the woman,
then takes the infant
holds it upside down
to shake coin from its diaper.

Nothing falls out.
I am perplexed
I know they are me,
And I know what they represent
And it makes me very uncomfortable.

That was over a half century ago
and now I can pay for that meal
