My cc company had been doing it for years and every time they’ve asked me to opt-in for voice recognition -no! Anytime I am forced to continue by voice, I’ve used different weird voice. I’m guessing they got the hint because they haven’t asked in a year. They must not know about Eleven Labs🙄

I’ve been reading more and more about this over the last year, and can’t stand it. It’s one reason why I don’t use shopping apps like Amazon, Lowe’s, Target, Safeway, and many others thst ease the use of purchase. Loyalty programs, it’s been years, continue to miss me with that.

Yesterday, I visited my local Barnes and Noble and decided to stop by that section on a whim, as I haven’t in quite some time.. I remember, years ago, how this section was 5x the length of what is shown below. I wonder if AI use such as Claude, etc, have caused a reduction like this.

I thought you’d be interested in this. One thing you said stood out: “It’s tedious but enjoyable”. It’s ironic that it’s akin to how I see listening to music on physical media vs solely streaming. The former makes the entire listening experience far better even when the convenience is removed.
