Haven't gotten anything that good. This Rob Reiner fairy tale/hitman result sounds pretty good, though.

This has been an issue with all the prime games. Bizarre they haven't addressed this by now.

I always joke that it helps me focus, but I can still choose to focus on shit other than work.

My parents took me with them to see Howard the Duck and it just terrified me. I remember just bawling and they had to leave early. I was 7.

I don't think they thought thru full implications of eliminating race as a factor in admissions. Early signs that share of white students is declining at top schools as East and South Asian students often have better creds.

In the last five years we have solved two of our biggest challenges: 1) we've effectively solved obesity (thru glp1s) and 2) solar+batteries has become the most economical source of power gen. In both cases just a matter of time until they transform society.

And have you been to a whaling station. Scenic? Yes. Hospitable? Most certainly not. And they were factories built for scale in the middle of the south Atlantic. Human industry at its most efficient and terrible.

Whaling station on south Georgia island.

Don't forget the speakeasy!

This Tomlin stream is amazing. Starts with the spa! Focused on natural lighting?!?! A speakeasy! My mind is blown.

Looks like gridstatus.io has lower YoY growth but occurs to me that could be because I'm filtering on ERCOT vs this is Texas data. Is that the likely discrepancy?

F-Ing Wingo. Always wingo.

Volts is awesome. You can also see the data and read the analysis by @gridstatus.io if you want to geek out yourself

Yeah exactly. So many cool little cinematics and a branching plot. Ahead of it's time.

Helluva list. For me personally it was King's Quest vs Monkey Island, Covert Action vs Police Quest, Wing Commander vs Tie Fighter, Civilization vs Command & Conquer, and Fallout vs Wasteland. But, you know, basically the exact same list.

Incredible show. Loved Travelers with Eric McCormack for similar dynamics and tension.

Prob won't need to fabricate so much as have friendlies tee up the agent in unwise ways and then publicize the (predictable) outcome.

I advised my son to start Mahomes over Burrow. More caveats than a pharma commercial.

You can draw a pretty tight line between me reading 'Moon is a Harsh Mistress' to my boy 5 years ago and him choosing to major in comp engineering as a freshman this year. Absolute banger, tovarishch.

000

Ralls @mralls.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

I had strep in my shin. Hurt to put full weight on it and if I pushed the skin in it didn't bounce back. The boy was getting over strep and I had some kind of itchy hives because I live in Austin, so I figure I must've introduced it. Round of doxy knocked it out, but was kinda scary.

"Fully functional" is bearing a heavy load in that sentence. I think better question is when they hit 80% of the value and do so at fraction of the price. Same dynamic as always, just different and faster means of getting there.

Have I been pwned, which is referenced in another reply, is the gold standard for this kind of thing. The guy behind that site, Troy Hunt, was an early mover in cybersecurity/infosec and is just a good guy all the way around.
