Review #BookReview: The Doctor's Desire by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
The Doctor's Desire by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Dustin, a caring doctor, helps Charles’s sick niece and sparks an unexpected connection. As their romance grows, interference from Charles’s mother and Dustin’s boss threatens both their relationship and the family they hope to build. This was such an emotional and heartfelt read. I loved watching Dustin and Charles's relationship deepen as they cared for little Anna together, creating a beautiful sense of family along the way. Their journey wasn't easy, especially as they faced homophobic prejudice and opposition from those around them, which made their bond feel even more meaningful. Full of warmth, love, and plenty of emotional moments, this story kept me invested in both the romance and the family they were building. A touching and rewarding read. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Ginger Snapping All the Way by Gabbi Grey 3 of 5 stars
Ginger Snapping All the Way by Gabbi Grey My rating: 3 of 5 stars Maddox, a grump who prefers isolating in his mountain cabin to escape Christmas, agrees to host a stranded traveler as a favor. That stranger is Ravi, who was desperately trying to get home for the birth of his goddaughter when an emergency plane landing and a severe snowstorm left him stranded. Snowbound together in the cabin, an intense attraction sparks between them. However, as Maddox worries about the inevitable heartbreak when Ravi leaves, Ravi is forced to choose between hiding away from his problems or leaving to face his painful past to secure a real future with Maddox. I enjoyed this story overall, though Maddox definitely tested my patience at times. He was so grumpy and weighed down by his past that I found myself wondering how he even manages to hold down a job. Ravi, on the other hand, was more personable. Even while dealing with his own heavy challenges and stress, his warmth provided such a great contrast to Maddox's moody nature. The story is packed with a lot of angst, tension, and raw emotion, and the characters' feelings were always easy to understand and relate to. This was a snowed-in, opposites-attract romance that was enjoyable. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Ermine by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Ermine by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Escaping his strict royal life, Prince Reynard of Veronia flees to Carlisle, where he is pulled over for speeding by State Trooper Fisher Bronson. After Reynard's hotel mysteriously catches fire, Fisher takes the stranger in for safety. As they grow close, Reynard reveals his royal identity, relieved to finally be loved for who he is rather than his title. However, their new romance is quickly threatened by royal duty, heavy family expectations, and a dangerous pursuer tracking Reynard's moves. I loved this story as Reynard’s journey was deeply moving—you could feel him drowning under the weight of a royal life where every single detail was controlled by everyone else. Seeing Fisher step in and give him a taste of a normal life was everything he needed. Fisher didn't just offer him safety; he gave Reynard the confidence to stand up to his family and finally declare what he wanted for his own future. I also loved Fisher’s Gran as she immediately took to Reynard and stepped up to guide them both through some of the toughest decisions they had to make. The story was packed with genuine emotion and clear, relatable feelings from start to finish. Everything was easy to read and understand, making it a satisfying, heartfelt romance. Review #BookReview: Scorched by Charity Parkerson 4 of 5 stars
Scorched by Charity Parkerson My rating: 4 of 5 stars Fabrice is finally choosing happiness after years of loneliness, but everything shifts when he meets Kirkland — a man who’s spent his life in the shadows protecting Atticus and now doesn’t know who he is without that role. Fabrice sees something special in him and refuses to let Kirkland hide behind fear or age. What starts as a complication becomes a slow, determined push toward connection, with Fabrice intent on showing Kirkland they’re meant for each other. I loved this story, especially watching Kirkland slowly learn that he truly deserved love — and seeing Fabrice determined, patient, and absolutely delighted to claim his man. Kirkland’s past was handled with real care, and the support he received from everyone around him made his journey feel both emotional and earned. I also enjoyed how Fabrice’s work–life balance was woven into the story, giving him space to grow beyond the Bosi kitchens. As always with this group of trained killers, the drama was dialled up perfectly, adding tension without overshadowing the romance. The emotions and feelings throughout were clear, well written, and incredibly easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Glass by Andrew Grey 5 of 5 stars
Fire and Glass by Andrew Grey My rating: 5 of 5 stars Casey, a state trooper with no time for a personal life, finds three frightened kids during a missing‑persons call — and reconnects with their uncle, Bertie, an old college friend. Bertie is suddenly responsible for the children and overwhelmed, but Casey steps in to help, and their long‑buried attraction resurfaces. As Casey balances supporting the kids, building a quiet romance, and investigating crimes tied to Bertie’s missing sister, evidence suggests she may be involved, putting strain on their fragile new family. I loved this story, especially the heartbreaking situation the children were found in and the way their uncle, Bertie, had tried for years to keep track of them despite being estranged from their mother. For florist Bertie, suddenly becoming responsible for three children was overwhelming, and Casey’s steady help (both through his contacts and his own time) made all the difference. For Casey and Bertie, it felt like a genuine second chance to reconnect and see whether a relationship could grow between them while navigating the chaos around them. The way the missing‑woman case merged with the robbery investigation worked really well, adding tension without overshadowing the emotional core. There were a lot of feelings throughout for both men and the children, all clearly written and easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: My Demon Hacker by Stella Rainbow 4 of 5 stars
My Demon Hacker by Stella Rainbow My rating: 4 of 5 stars Gabriel has one goal: get revenge, steal the money, and keep his life complication‑free. But hiring Xin — a demon hacker who’s brilliant, sweet, and far too good at getting under his skin — throws his careful plans off balance. As their connection grows, Gabriel struggles to stay focused, knowing he can’t afford distractions when he’s this close to achieving what he’s spent years planning. Love, however, might be the one rule he can’t keep himself from breaking. A sweet, emotional story where Xin recognises Gabriel as his fated mate but is patient enough to give him the time and space he needs to fall in love at his own pace. Their choice to date made the relationship feel tender and thoughtful, and the writing kept me engaged throughout. I did feel Gabriel’s acceptance of Xin’s demon nature came a little too easily, but overall the story was warm, well written, and full of clear, heartfelt emotions. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: The Doctor's Heart by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
The Doctor's Heart by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Rosco, an overworked ER doctor and devoted single father, barely has time for a personal life — until months of quiet flirting with Miguel, an EMT, finally turn into something real. When Miguel is injured on the job, Rosco’s care brings them even closer. As they begin exploring their long‑simmering attraction, the head of medicine pushes back against their relationship, forcing both men to decide what matters more: their jobs, their stability, or the happiness they’ve found in each other. A great romance full of warmth and tension as Rosco and Miguel flirt their way through long hospital shifts, only to finally collide outside of work — Rosco with his daughter Posey, and Miguel with his niece and nephew. Their connection feels natural and sweet, but everything changes when the medical director launches a homophobic campaign against them, forcing both men to navigate their relationship with extra care. I loved how mindful they were of Posey and her feelings, never letting their romance overshadow her stability. The emotional beats throughout were clear, heartfelt, and easy to connect with, and their caution at work only made their bond feel more genuine. A tender, passionate story that balances family, fear, and love beautifully. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Sand by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Sand by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Quinton, a single dad with a criminal past, is pulled over by State Trooper Wyatt — who ends up helping reunite him with his infant son instead of arresting him. Their connection grows as Wyatt supports Quinton through the challenges of temporary custody and a hostile ex, but when Wyatt’s duties as a cop clash with Quinton’s fight for permanent custody, their fragile hope for a future together is put at risk. A lovely, emotional story with baby Callum firmly at its heart. I really enjoyed how Quinton’s fight to protect and keep his son intertwined so naturally with Wyatt’s work in law enforcement, giving their romance both sweetness and grit. The wider police family stepping in to help added warmth and depth, showing how much support surrounded them. This is a gentle romance wrapped inside a tougher story about drugs, child neglect, and the determination to build a safe future. The emotions throughout were clearly written, easy to feel, and made the journey with Quinton, Wyatt, and Callum incredibly engaging. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Don't Get Too Close by Alex Blaine 3 of 5 stars
Don't Get Too Close by Alex Blaine My rating: 3 of 5 stars Ted has survived by keeping everyone at arm’s length, living alone in a rundown trailer where no one can get close enough to hurt him. But Kacen — kind, steady, and unexpectedly drawn to him — doesn’t follow Ted’s rules. Their connection grows despite Ted’s mistrust, pushing him to confront the possibility that wanting someone, and trusting them, might finally be worth the risk. This short story was heartbreaking in the best way, showing how deeply Ted had been damaged by past abuse — hiding in his trailer with the curtains shut, keeping the world at arm’s length even though he still managed to hold down a job and pay his bills. I loved that Kacen quickly understood Ted’s fear of closeness and gently worked around it, always keeping him safe rather than pushing too hard. I did feel the story would have been even stronger with a clearer sense of how their relationship began and developed, as that part felt a little rushed and could have been explored more. But overall it was easy to read and understand, with emotions that were simple to feel right along with Ted. This was an MM story with mature content with male lactation. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Diamond by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Diamond by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Deputy Nick takes in ten‑year‑old Ethan as an emergency foster placement, only to discover Ethan’s older half brother is Alexander — the cocky college kid he clashed with at a bar. As Nick and Alexander spend time together for Ethan’s sake, they realize they misjudged each other. A genuine connection grows between them, but with Alexander’s abusive stepfather causing trouble and Ethan’s stability on the line, building a future together won’t be easy. This was a deeply emotional story as Nick did everything he could to protect and care for Ethan while also making space for Alexander, knowing the brothers needed each other. Ethan’s struggle to understand that he wasn’t “bad,” and that the abuse he endured from his father was wrong, was heartbreaking, and the story handled his confusion and fear with real compassion. I loved how mindful Nick and Alexander were of Ethan even as their own relationship began to grow — always putting his stability first. Nick’s gentle approach, giving Ethan choices so he could regain a sense of control, was beautifully written. His patience in teaching Ethan about his diabetes, and showing him they could still do things together, added so much warmth to the story. The emotions throughout were powerful, easy to feel, and easy to understand. A tender, heartfelt read about building safety, family, and love in the middle of chaos. Review #BookReview: In at the Deep End by K.C. Wells 4 of 5 stars
In at the Deep End by K.C. Wells My rating: 4 of 5 stars Owen, determined never to love again, finds his resolve shaken when Matt — his old friend’s son — takes a summer job caring for his pool and garden. What starts as curiosity and blurred boundaries turns into a slow, simmering connection neither man can ignore. One summer becomes a journey of desire, trust, and unexpected feelings, pushing them to admit that casual isn’t enough and that what they’re building might be worth claiming forever. This was a lovely, slow‑burn romantic story, even if Owen and Matt had to cope with outside interference that fed straight into Owen’s fears. I really enjoyed that Matt’s gardening expertise balanced their age gap and gave them the perfect reason to spend long stretches of time together. Owen offering Matt a quiet space to finish his master’s dissertation was another gentle touch that made their growing closeness feel natural and earned. I especially loved how Owen created a safe, open environment for Matt to talk about his sexuality and learn about safe practices, while Matt focused on how things worked emotionally in a romantic relationship. The result was a thoughtful, tender connection between two men figuring out what they wanted and how to trust it. The story was full of emotions and feelings that were easy to understand and easy to feel right along with them — a warm, heartfelt read. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Onyx by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Onyx by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Evan, an undercover deputy, pulls Wes into his investigation, and a shootout leaves Wes homeless. Evan takes him in, and living together quickly turns into something tender and full of possibility. But when Wes’s troubled brother, and his ties to a dangerous gang, crash back into their lives, everything they’ve begun to build as a family is suddenly at risk. This story is packed with tension as Evan fights to get close to the drug gangs threatening his community while also protecting Wes and young Grayson. I loved the tender way Evan treated them both — how Wes and his son instantly became part of his world, and how the wider police family embraced them too. The emotions throughout were beautifully written, easy to feel and easy to understand, and even with a small child in the mix there was still plenty of passion and connection between Evan and Wes. A gripping, heartfelt read with a well‑earned happy ending. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: A Sugary Life by Charity Parkerson 4 of 5 stars
A Sugary Life by Charity Parkerson My rating: 4 of 5 stars Phoenix and Shay were rescued as children and raised together, forming a bond that was always deeper than friendship. Phoenix knew he loved Shay, but Shay denied his feelings until it drove Phoenix away. When Phoenix’s new job unexpectedly brings him back into Shay’s life, they’re forced to face the truth: the love between them never went away. A beautifully heartfelt novella about two men whose shared history and deep friendship make it impossible to imagine them ever living separate lives. I loved how their connection felt woven through every moment — solid, inevitable, and tender in a way that made their happily‑ever‑after feel completely earned. Their kindness toward others who had just been rescued added an extra layer of warmth to the story, showing how much compassion they carried despite everything they’d survived. The big emotions throughout were wonderfully written — easy to feel, easy to understand, and impossible not to root for. A short, emotional, deeply satisfying read about love that was always meant to last. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Obsidian by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Obsidian by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Mattias, a former thief trying to rebuild his life, ends up working with James, a cop who despises criminals because of his own past. Their clash turns into attraction, and as the burglary case digs up old wounds, both men must decide whether they can trust each other enough to build something real. This really was an opposites‑attract romance with a twist — a thief and a cop who shouldn’t fit together, yet share a thread in their pasts that quietly pulls them closer. I loved how sharp and clever Mattias was, often spotting clues long before the police did, and how that contrasted with James’s more rigid, rule‑bound approach. Their childhoods were heartbreaking in different ways, giving each man a depth that made their connection even more meaningful. There’s plenty of danger, drama, and emotional intensity, and the ending hit beautifully and bittersweetly — lovely because they finally choose each other, but sad because it costs someone their career. Passion, feelings, and tension run through the whole story, making it an easy one to read, feel, and understand. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Fog by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Fog by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Dwayne, a Carlisle police officer, steps in to save Robin—a young man who was cast out by his family for being gay—from a violent encounter outside a club. After learning Robin was scammed out of his home, Dwayne opens his house to him, though Robin’s past trauma makes it difficult for him to trust the gesture. As a romance slowly develops between them, Robin receives custody of his late sister’s son. Just as they begin building a new life together, unresolved ghosts from both of their pasts return, threatening the family and sense of belonging they are trying to create. This was such an incredibly emotional read from start to finish. Robin's journey is a complete rollercoaster—watching him navigate the heartbreak and devastation of being cast out by his family and left homeless just for being gay was so deeply moving. Seeing his life rebuild as he found safety, a job, and a true home thanks to Dwayne and his wonderful group of friends gave the story so much heart. Just as things started settling, life threw another curveball when Robin suddenly became guardian to his young nephew. The plot is packed with intense drama and real danger, but the standout moment was watching Robin and Dwayne's bond withstand every single obstacle. Their relationship proved strong enough to handle it all, making this a beautifully poignant, high-stakes story that stays with you long after the final page. Review #BookReview: Axe Backwards by May Archer 4 of 5 stars
Axe Backwards by May Archer My rating: 4 of 5 stars An ex-thief turned photographer, Merritt, agrees to a fake engagement with Sheriff Holden Axford during a week-long family camp to dodge his family's pressure to rejoin their criminal empire. What starts as a convenient rescue by his former one-night stand quickly spirals as fake affection turns real. However, when a forced final heist threatens to expose Merritt's past, he risks losing both his reformed life and the sheriff who stole his heart. I loved this book! Merritt's family of chaotic, professional thieves added so much humour and wild energy to the story, but the real heart of the book was the dynamic between Merritt and Holden. Watching Holden wrestle with his strict code of ethics versus his deep love for Merritt made for such compelling drama—he really had to decide what mattered most when the truth came out. The passion and emotional chemistry between them were off the charts from start to finish. Everything about the writing was accessible, making the feelings, stakes, and romance effortless to read and fall into. Plus, that ending was everything I could have asked for. Highly recommend if you love a fake-engagement romance packed with heart, heat, and a little bit of high-stakes crime! This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Agate by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Agate by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Chris’s first real assignment is protecting Pavle, a survivor whose safe houses are no longer secure. When Chris brings him home, an unexpected bond forms as Pavle slowly heals and Chris grows deeply attached. But the men hunting Pavle are closing in, and even if Chris can keep him safe, he fears losing him if Pavle eventually returns home. A heartfelt and emotional story, this book beautifully shows Pavle adjusting to a new world of freedom in a far more progressive country than the one he grew up in. Watching him navigate that shift l)with Chris guarding him, guiding him, and gently educating him) was incredibly moving. Chris’s Nanna was a standout character for me; her ability to speak Pavle’s language and comfort him added such warmth and humanity to the story. I loved how determined Chris was to stay professional and to reinforce that Pavle had full control over his own life — that he didn’t owe Chris anything for food, clothing, or safety. Their growing connection felt powerful and genuine, and the emotions throughout were easy to feel and understand. A touching story that highlights both the best and worst of human behaviour, full of heartfelt moments and deep feeling. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

The Star in Room 7 by Colette Davison My rating: 4 of 5 stars Zach finally reaches LA to chase his dream, but the reality is overwhelming and isolating. Offered temporary refuge at Halo House, he’s convinced he doesn’t deserve the help — until he meets Nate, a steady, nurturing protector who sees past Zach’s bravado and gives him space to let go. Their bond deepens as Zach begins to imagine a future where he can stop hiding, trust Nate, and build a new dream in his arms. A wonderful hurt‑comfort story, this book shows Zach at his most vulnerable after a terrifying stalker shatters the safety of his home. The emotional fallout is raw and deeply felt, and I loved how Nate stepped in with steady, grounding support to help Zach cope with the violation he endured. Their dynamic is tender and nurturing, and the way their bond grows is full of emotion and authenticity. It was also lovely to see fellow Halo House resident Puck offering comfort and friendship when Zach needed it most. The whole journey is packed with feelings, good, painful, healing, and the ending, with Zach and Nate together as a couple, was incredibly satisfying. A beautifully emotional read that captures hurt, recovery, and connection. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic with sensory play. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Hail by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Hail by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Brock’s tense run‑in with his ex, Vincent, turns shocking when he finds two frightened children in the trunk — Vincent’s niece and nephew. With their mother arrested, Brock steps in to care for Abey and Penny, and he and Vincent put their past aside for the kids’ sake. As they work together, their bond deepens and the four begin to feel like a family, even as Vincent’s sister and her boyfriend threaten everything they’re building. I loved how this story showed Brock as a cop with a genuinely big heart — his shock at finding Vincent’s niece and nephew was powerful and set the emotional tone for everything that followed. Abey was absolutely adorable, and as the truth about the siblings came out, I just wanted to hug him over and over. Their presence didn’t just pull Brock and Vincent together; they helped the two men steady themselves too, creating a bond that felt natural and deeply moving. This was a very emotional read, with feelings that were easy to understand and connect with from start to finish. Brock and Vincent’s connection was undeniable and powerful, making the journey with all four of them incredibly satisfying. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Granite by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Granite by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Judge Andrew Phillips isn’t thrilled about round‑the‑clock protection after fugitive Harper threatens his life — especially since the deputy assigned to him is Clay Brown, a man from his past who complicates everything. Forced into close quarters, their old tension turns into undeniable attraction, and something deeper begins to grow between them. As the danger escalates, Clay is determined to protect the people slipping into his heart: Andrew and his young niece and nephew. This was a dramatic, emotionally rich story from start to finish. Clay threw himself into protecting Andrew, and watching him slowly fall in love not just with Andrew but also with his niece and nephew was incredibly moving. I especially loved how Clay offered smart, grounded advice during the hunt for his cousin Harper — it added tension while deepening his role in the unfolding danger. Their connection grew stronger through every challenge, and the mix of good moments and hard emotions made the journey feel real and compelling. A powerful blend of suspense, heart, and genuine feeling that kept me fully invested. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Sexbot by Reese Morrison 4 of 5 stars
Sexbot: Part 2 of Volt and Wallace's Duology by Reese Morrison My rating: 4 of 5 stars Wallace and Volt both struggle with the fear that they’re not enough for each other. Wallace is overwhelmed by his discomfort in his own body, his controlling father, and the pressure of choices only he can make — all while Volt keeps secrets that make supporting him even harder. Volt, a sentient android burdened by debt and programmed limitations, worries their relationship is just another fantasy he can’t live up to. As a dangerous attacker targets Volt and those he cares about, both men must find the courage to trust their bond and fight for something real. This second half of Wallace and Volt’s journey dives deeply into their evolving relationship and how they explore trust, identity, and intimacy together. The story follows their lives as they navigate new emotional territory while facing real threats, making this instalment both heartfelt and tense. I loved how caring their Daddy/boy dynamic was — gentle, supportive, and built on genuine communication. They compromise, learn from each other, and grow in ways that feel meaningful and earned. Their bond strengthens even as danger rises, and the emotional moments throughout kept me completely captivated. This is very much the continuation of their story, so reading the first book is essential. Together, both parts create a powerful, emotional arc full of feelings, vulnerability, and connection. This was an MX story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic. Buy from Amazon

Fire and Snow by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Fisher Moreland, struggling with bipolar disorder and estranged from his family, slowly finds stability and warmth when JD Burnside invites him into his life after spotting him alone on a winter night. Their connection grows as JD supports Fisher through a job‑threatening fire, but the return of people from Fisher’s troubled past — and a rising drug problem in town — puts their fragile new relationship at risk. A dramatic, emotionally charged story from the very first page. Fisher’s life is a series of heartbreaking blows, and his resilience tugs at your heart throughout. JD steps in as a true protector, doing everything he can to support Fisher while the danger around them grows. I loved how Fisher found purpose helping tackle the spreading drug problems in Carlisle, and how fiercely he stood up for JD when faced with JD’s dysfunctional family. Their connection is powerful and undeniable, and those snatched moments they managed to share felt all the more precious against the chaos surrounding them. The story is packed with emotion, tension, and heartfelt moments that kept me completely captivated. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Allegiant by Cora Rose by Lark Taylor 5 of 5 stars
Allegiant by Cora Rose by Lark Taylor My rating: 5 of 5 stars Rowan is haunted by the death of his best friend Adam, carrying guilt that keeps him isolated and convinced he doesn’t deserve love. When rugged, compelling Samson Buckingham walks into his dance studio, Rowan wants him only as a way to forget — not to heal. But Samson becomes the one man who tempts Rowan to let someone close again, risking the buried parts of himself he’s sworn never to face. This was a suitably dramatic and addictive story, driven by Rowan’s overwhelming — and often irrational — guilt over Adam’s murder and Samson’s impossible position between the Firm’s demand for vengeance and his growing feelings for Rowan. Their dynamic was perfection: Rowan’s sunshine‑soft caretaker nature paired beautifully with Samson’s broody protector energy, each drawing out something the other desperately needed. The emotions ran high throughout, hitting a powerful peak when Rowan realised he had been Samson’s mark all along — and that everyone in his new circle through the Buckingham family already knew. The side characters added so much charm, especially the humour woven through the chaos of those absolutely unhinged Buckingham family game nights. I was hooked from start to finish. And I especially loved how Rowan nurtured Samson’s hidden soft side, proving that even the darkest men can be gentle when loved right. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Brock's Lost Lunchbox by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat 2 of 5 stars
Brock's Lost Lunchbox by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat My rating: 2 of 5 stars Brock finally gets his long‑awaited promotion, only to end up busier than ever. When a water main break shuts down his office, he escapes to Little Night for a much‑needed break. There, a mysterious man returns Brock’s lost lunchbox — and Brock immediately senses the potential for a meaningful connection, even if he insists he’s too overwhelmed with work for anything long‑term. This was a sweet story, just what I’ve come to expect from this series, with a cute little in Brock finding his forever Daddy in Zeph. Their meeting was adorable, full of charm and warmth, and the dynamic between them fit perfectly with the tone of the series. However, the story did suffer from a noticeable lack of editing — references to 'mates' and 'omega' popped up despite this clearly not being a shifter book, which pulled me out of the moment more than once. Still, the core relationship was lovely, tender, and full of the soft emotions this series does so well. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Knight by D.J. Jamison 4 of 5 stars
Knight by D.J. Jamison My rating: 4 of 5 stars Knight finds a fresh start at Redemption Road after betrayal and prison, building a new life and a found family. His connection with Aiden — his best friend’s brother and his roommate‑turned‑casual‑hookup — quickly becomes something deeper. But when Knight’s old biker gang comes after him, he realises he has to fight for his freedom and his future. With Redemption Road at his back and Aiden becoming the centre of his world, Knight is determined to win his happy ending… or die trying. This story was a great blend of tenderness and love mixed with the danger and drama of Knight’s past crashing back into his life. As his old biker gang resurfaced, the stakes rose quickly, and I loved how the men of Redemption Road stood beside him with unwavering friendship and trust. I really appreciated that the book didn’t just focus on Knight’s troubles — Aiden and his medical career were an important part of the narrative too. Their relationship was wonderful to watch unfold, full of devotion and the sense that both men would do almost anything for the other. The mix of danger, drama, tenderness, and found‑family support made this a great read, with emotions and feelings woven throughout. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Flint by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Flint by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Jordan Erichsohn knows his boss, Judge Crawford, is corrupt, but speaking up could cost him everything — especially his chance to adopt his son Jeremiah. When he finally confides in deputy Pierre Ravelle, Pierre believes him and becomes both an ally and a growing love interest. Pierre is determined to protect Jordan and Jeremiah and bring Crawford down, but the judge is powerful and dangerous — willing to destroy anything Jordan and Pierre are trying to build to save himself. This was a great story filled with danger and drama as Jordan and little Jeremiah were swept up in the scandal surrounding corrupt Judge Crawford. I loved how Pierre did everything he could to protect them while investigating the judge, never once doubting that Jordan and Jeremiah were already a family worth fighting for. One of my favourite parts was Pierre’s understanding that loving Jordan meant loving Jeremiah too — getting to know him, caring for him, and making space for him in his life. The emotional weight of Jordan’s adoption struggles blended beautifully with the slow, steady growth of Pierre and Jordan’s relationship. Jeremiah was an absolute sweetheart, and it was impossible not to smile and fall for him. A story full of emotions and feelings throughout, with danger, tenderness, and hope woven together. This Hurts: A Redemption Story by Joelle Lynne My rating: 3 of 5 stars Orion never wanted to be a father, but fear kept him from telling his wife. As their negative tests bring him relief and her distress, he spirals, spending his nights at Faded Sins drawn to Sable — the one man he can’t stay away from. Sable is just trying to survive, doing what he must to pay his bills, until Orion becomes the client he breaks his own rule for. Their connection complicates everything, especially when Sable discovers Orion’s secrets run far deeper than he ever expected. I really struggled to find the redemption in this story. Orion was a character I grew to genuinely dislike — selfish with his wife, and then selfish again with Sable on the side, with very little real effort to resolve the situation he created. His choices caused most of the emotional turmoil in the book, and often for the people around him rather than himself. Sable, on the other hand, was the standout. His determination to survive, even through sex work, made him compelling and sympathetic. And I felt deeply for Whitney, Orion’s wife — an innocent party who became a victim of his infidelity and indecision. There were plenty of emotions throughout, but many of them were driven by Orion’s behaviour and the fallout it caused. A difficult, messy story that left me feeling for everyone except the man at its centre. This was an MF and MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Fire and Rain by Andrew Grey 5 of 5 stars
Fire and Rain by Andrew Grey My rating: 5 of 5 stars Josten Applewhite has fought to keep his younger brother Isaac safe since their mother died, but one terrible stroke of bad luck leaves them homeless. Officer Kip Rogers finds them and, unable to walk away, brings them into his home while they get back on their feet. With Kip’s help, Jos begins rebuilding his life, though he struggles to trust such generosity. Kip, meanwhile, is falling for Jos and loves the sense of family they bring to his house. When a distant relative threatens to tear Jos and Isaac apart, Kip knows Jos needs him — even if Jos isn’t ready to admit it. This was a heartbreaking story as we learned how Jos and little Isaac ended up on the streets, doing everything they could just to survive. Isaac absolutely stole the show — it was impossible not to smile (and cry) when the group of cops rallied together to find his missing bear. Moments like that gave the story such warmth. I loved seeing the guys and their partners from the previous books step in, each of them playing a part in helping Jos rebuild his life. Their support became even more important when Jos’s aunt suddenly appeared, determined to take Isaac away, and everyone stood behind Jos to fight for his family. At its core, this book was about how trust is painfully earned when life has dealt you nothing but misfortune, and how love can creep up on you even when you’re sure you don’t deserve it. Lots of emotions and feelings throughout — tender, aching, and hopeful. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Silent Hero by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Silent Hero by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Army veteran Harmon Wheeler loses his voice after a life‑changing injury and retreats into books and the quiet kindness of librarian Derek Willow. Derek sees past Harm’s intimidating exterior, and an ASL class brings them closer. As their relationship grows through notes, texts, and sign language, Derek’s stalker becomes a real threat — and Harm must rely on his combat skills to protect him without pushing him away. Generally, I loved this story — the gentle, book‑loving Harm, a disabled army veteran, and Derek, the librarian who sees straight through his intimidating exterior, made a wonderful pair. Their relationship grew through ASL classes at the library and the sense of community those classes created, which was one of my favourite parts of the book. I did struggle with a couple of things, though. Derek’s resistance to using legal avenues to deal with his stalker felt frustrating, especially given the danger. And Harm’s lack of communication skills was surprising — I expected he’d have tried to learn ASL on his own through books or online resources long before now. Still, their connection was sweet, and I loved Harm stepping up to protect Derek using the skills he learned in the military. An enjoyable story with emotions and feelings throughout, even if they were a little muted at times. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: The Liar in Room 5 by Kerry Kilpatrick 4 of 5 stars
The Liar in Room 5 by Kerry Kilpatrick My rating: 4 of 5 stars Andrew arrives at Halo House after yet another breakup, realising he’s spent years becoming whatever each boyfriend wanted. Then he meets Henry Mercer — a man who reads people for a living yet can’t make sense of Andrew at all. Henry sees that Andrew doesn’t know who he really is, and as they grow closer, he finds himself drawn only to the real Andrew he hopes will finally emerge…and choose him. This was a strange but compelling story, centred on Andrew finding himself at Halo House and immediately slipping back into his old habit of saying and doing whatever he thinks people want — not what he wants. His life up to this point felt like a bewildering form of high‑class emotional performance, and I was genuinely bemused by how little of himself he seemed to know. What made the story shine was Henry Mercer. He sees straight through Andrew’s practiced charm and gentle lies, pushing him, kindly but firmly, to start thinking for himself for the first time in years. Their connection felt special because Henry wasn’t interested in any version Andrew performed; he wanted the real man underneath. I loved that Andrew eventually found a way forward, discovering who he truly was and stepping into a full, fulfilling life with his beloved Daddy. A thoughtful, emotional read about identity, honesty, and finally choosing yourself. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Quit Playing Games with My Heart by Merry Farmer 3 of 5 stars
Quit Playing Games with My Heart by Merry Farmer My rating: 3 of 5 stars Brian falls hard for Sam — his best friend’s older brother and his boss — just as Common Grounds is struggling to survive construction and lost customers. His idea for a games night might save the café…and gives him a chance to get closer to Sam. Sam has lived by strict rules for years, but Brian’s pitch — and his feelings — make those rules harder to follow. Their attraction grows as they fight to save the café, unsure whether it’s the start of love or the end of Common Grounds. This was a sweet, emotional story set against the backdrop of Common Grounds struggling through the construction next door. I loved how Brian came up with the idea of games nights, and how working with Sam to make them happen finally gave the two of them space to stop pining and start truly seeing each other. But beneath the sweetness, there was tension too — something wasn’t quite right, and Sam needed to prove he trusted Brian, that nothing about Brian’s past or fears would change what was growing between them. That moment of trust added a lovely emotional depth to the story. A gentle, heartfelt read with just enough emotion to leave you warm. This was an MM story. Buy from Amazon

Dearest Malachi Keogh by N.R. Walker My rating: 4 of 5 stars Julian never believed in love at first sight — until Malachi Keogh. Four years later, Malachi has brought joy back into his life, and Julian is determined to give him an unforgettable Christmas. But with the mail centre at its busiest, he’ll need help from the whole team to make it happen. I loved this short story — it felt like a warm, joyful epilogue to the original book. Malachi Keogh was still his adorable, chaotic self, and Julian Pollard was brighter and more colourful than ever. Revisiting the Dead Letter Office was a delight, and I loved how the whole team came together to help Julian pull off a perfect surprise for Malachi. A sweet, festive story that leaves you smiling. Review #BookReview: Fire and Ice by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Fire and Ice by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Carter, a caring police officer with a painful past, responds to a domestic call and finds young Alex in need of help. Child Services sends Donald “Ice” Ickle — the last man Carter wants to see after their brief, icy fling. Ice keeps everyone at arm’s length, but with no foster options available, he reluctantly takes Alex, and Carter steps in to help. Both men carry secrets, yet it’s Alex’s unspoken truths that could either bring them together or tear everything apart. This story was incredibly emotional, especially around Alex and everything he’d endured at such a young age that was the kind of trauma that makes you cry again and again as the truth comes out. His journey was the heart of the book, and it was impossible not to feel deeply for him. Where I struggled was with the relationship between Carter and Donald “Ice” Ickle. Carter’s attitude, particularly the insensitive questions he asked about Donald’s college job, felt jarring and out of character for someone meant to be caring. I also found it difficult to accept Carter’s tolerance of misogyny within his own family, which made their emotional connection harder to fully believe. But the ending was genuinely satisfying because it meant the bad men were jailed, Alex was finally safe with a permanent home secured for him. Despite my reservations about the romance, the emotional payoff for Alex made the story worth reading. Review #BookReview: The Royal in Room 3 by Gianni Holmes 3 of 5 stars
The Royal in Room 3 by Gianni Holmes My rating: 3 of 5 stars Jude works at Halo House, offering stability to boys who need it, but everything changes when Soren arrives — soft, sheltered, and secretly a deposed crown prince. Despite being an ex‑convict, Jude forms an intense bond with him, creating a scandal neither could survive. A prince and a felon shouldn’t fit, but Jude can’t walk away once he’s in too deep. I liked this book and the way it introduced the Halo House concept run by Phoenix, with Jude stepping in to help the boys who end up there. Soren felt incredibly naive and clueless about almost everything, which sometimes made me wonder whether what grew between him and Jude was truly love or more a mix of dependence and gratitude. I really felt for Jude — he had no idea who Soren really was and handled Soren’s inexperience with a lot of patience and tolerance. There were emotions and feelings throughout, but I often questioned how genuine or grounded they were, given the imbalance between them. Still, it was an interesting start to the Halo House world, and I’m curious to see how the series develops from here. This was an MM story with mature content with a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic. Dearest Milton James by N.R. Walker My rating: 5 of 5 stars Malachi gets shoved into Sydney’s Dead Letter Office, expecting boredom, but instead finds a team of lovable misfits — including his calm, beige‑wearing boss Julian Pollard. Malachi’s chaotic energy clashes with Julian’s order, yet the chemistry between them sparks fast. To keep his job (and his father off his back), Malachi must unravel the mystery of the old letters in Julian’s office — and figure out the man himself. It’s an opposites‑attract tale about finding where you’re meant to be… or being returned to sender. I loved this story which was a charming opposites‑attract romance where Malachi’s colourful chaos fits surprisingly well with Julian Pollard and the wonderfully mismatched crew of the Dead Letter Office. The team of misfits was delightful, and Malachi slotted into their odd little world perfectly. The humour was a highlight, with plenty of moments that made me laugh out loud. I especially enjoyed the mystery of the old “Dear Milton James” letters that was a touching puzzle that brought the whole team together as they pieced together a forbidden romance from decades past. It added depth, emotion, and a lovely thread of nostalgia to the story. Overall, it was warm, funny, and full of feelings that was a joy to read from start to finish. Review #BookReview: Craving Sin by Riley Hart 4 of 5 stars
Craving Sin by Riley Hart My rating: 4 of 5 stars Rian, ruthless head of the O’Shea family, becomes dangerously obsessed with Doctor Preston Abbott and kidnaps him after an attempt on his life. Hidden away in a remote cabin, Preston treats his injuries even while knowing he may not survive. As days pass, Preston’s care and vulnerability spark a craving in Rian he never expected, blurring the line between captive and desired. In Rian’s violent world, Preston is his — to want, to touch… and possibly to kill. This was a dramatic, emotionally charged story, following Rian through both his physical recovery and a powerful bi‑awakening that shakes the foundations of his violent, controlled world. The tension never lets up — Rian insists from the start that he’ll kill Abbott once he’s healed, and Abbott accepts that fate with heartbreaking calm, adding a constant thread of jeopardy to every moment between them. Their connection is intense, messy, and full of feeling, making the darker elements of the story hit even harder. The ending delivers a dramatic punch, and with the way things close, there’s clearly more to uncover as the series continues. Review #BookReview: Fire and Water by Andrew Grey 3 of 5 stars
Fire and Water by Andrew Grey My rating: 3 of 5 stars Officer Red Markham, scarred and grieving, works Carlisle’s streets as drug overdoses rise. Lifeguard Terry Baumgartner saves a drowning child, and a misunderstanding pushes him to rethink his kindness. Delivering meals brings him to Margie — Red’s outspoken aunt — linking their lives. As Red investigates the town’s drug problem and shields Terry from a dangerous ex, the two men begin to see past appearances and find the possibility of something real. This was a nice story, but I struggled with a few things — especially Terry’s shallowness early on and why Red was still so deeply grieving when his injuries weren’t fresh anymore. Their sudden leap into love also felt rushed, making it hard to fully believe in their connection. That said, I did enjoy the mystery thread: the new, deadly version of the drug hitting Carlisle and the strange delivery method behind it. The “who” was fairly obvious, but the real tension came from proving it, which kept the plot moving. Overall, a mixed but still enjoyable read, even if the romance didn’t quite convince me. Review #BookReview: Love at First Fright by T.J. Rose 4 of 5 stars
Love at First Fright by T.J. Rose My rating: 4 of 5 stars Charlie joins ExorSquad thinking it’s a scam, but Grimthorne Manor quickly proves otherwise — strange music at 3am, drifting dust motes, terrified locals, and a basement everyone avoids. His partner Brad is awful to work with, and Charlie’s certainty that ghosts aren’t real starts to crumble. Meanwhile Bat, one of the manor’s many ghosts, has spent years scaring people away. But Charlie’s gentle presence and unexpected musical talent make Bat want to protect him instead — especially from whatever lurks in the basement. And Brad? He might be looking a little too possessable. This was a crazy, fun ride through a wonderfully chaotic old English manor and the ghosts who call it home. Some spirits were genuinely dangerous, but most were quirky, friendly, and full of personality, which made the haunting feel more playful than frightening. I loved the relationship between Bat and Charlie — sweet, strange, and unexpectedly tender. Bat’s choices about who to possess were often hilarious, though occasionally questionable, adding to the wild charm of the story. The ending was enjoyable, even if a bit too convenient, wrapping things up neatly after all the chaos. Overall, a fun, ghost‑filled adventure with plenty of charm and mischief. This was an MM story. Nicks and Cuts by T.J. Nichols My rating: 3 of 5 stars Dante, a guarded knife maker back in Foggy Basin after a career‑ending injury, keeps everyone at arm’s length. Shannon arrives in town needing a fresh start, and Dante becomes a temptation he can’t resist. Their first hookup shouldn’t have happened, but the second comes easily as Shannon pushes forward and Dante hesitates, afraid of being hurt again. This was a nice story, but it definitely felt like something was missing, and the ending came with a sudden, almost jarring 180‑degree shift that didn’t quite land for me. I did enjoy the quieter moments — the cooking for each other, and Shannon’s habit of eating leftovers for lunch — those small domestic touches added warmth. The epilogue, though, didn’t feel far enough into the future to really count as one, which added to the sense of an abrupt finish. Overall, this was a disappointing addition to the Foggy Basin series, even if a few character interactions still brought some charm. This was an MM story with mature content. Buy from Amazon

Review #BookReview: Love Comes to Light by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Love Comes to Light by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Arik, struggling after a severe hand injury, goes to Pleasanton to work with Ken Brighton and meets Reg Thompson — a huge biker with a gentle heart. Arik slowly looks past Reg’s intimidating exterior, but when he discovers some of Reg’s club members are involved in drugs, the same world that caused his injury, he pulls away. Reg only understands why once the truth comes out, and both men must face the dangerous direction the club is heading. This was a story full of emotion and vulnerability, especially as Arik struggled with his hand injury, the impact on his painting career, and his growing feelings for Reg Thompson. Reg was an absolute teddy bear — steady, emotionally aware, and wonderfully gentle in every interaction. As the story went on, I found myself increasingly frustrated with Arik. He hadn’t truly tried to heal or adapt after his injury, and instead seemed to give up entirely. His massive chip on his shoulder and his complete shutdown after discovering the drug connection felt immature and made him harder to sympathize with. Still, there were moments I really enjoyed, especially the interactions within the wider circle of characters. Patrick was a standout — his observations and advice added warmth, clarity, and a much‑needed grounding presence. A story with strong emotional threads, even if much of it leaned toward a more clinical tone. This was an MM story with mature content. I rounded my review value as it was the 4 side of 3. His former best friend — and almost‑love — Tex steps in to help, quickly becoming essential to both of them. As Tex settles into their lives, old feelings resurface, but Hollywood fears Tex might run again. Now Hollywood must figure out whether Tex is truly ready to stay and love them both. This was such a sweet, heart‑warming story, centred on a bright little girl and two best friends learning how to reconnect and redefine what they mean to each other. I loved watching them figure out new ways to get along as their relationships shifted and deepened. The men on Redemption Road were wonderfully supportive, creating a warm, steady backdrop that made the themes of trust and honesty shine even more. This was a dramatic, fast‑moving story as Ari took control of the Romano family while Zephyr helped him — and several powerful families — trace and sometimes retrieve suspicious financial transactions. I loved their dynamic: Ari thinking best with his lighter in hand, and Zephyr fuelled almost entirely by caramel sweets. The danger and tension throughout were easy to feel and understand, giving the whole book a sharp, high‑stakes atmosphere. It did feel like the author wrote this one a little differently than usual as it was more clinical, more strategic and less emotional but I still enjoyed the ride. Ari not marrying Zephyr near the end surprised me, though their connection remained strong. There were emotions and feelings woven through the story, even if much of it leaned toward cool precision rather than warmth. A dramatic, intriguing read with a compelling central pair. Review #BookReview: The Dragon's Accidental Manny by Colbie Dunbar 3 of 5 stars
The Dragon's Accidental Manny by Colbie Dunbar My rating: 3 of 5 stars Can accidentally lands a live‑in job and a home when Price's young son Jack opens the  door. He quickly falls for Price’s three warm‑to‑the‑touch kids (Jack, Isla, Bea) and for the man himself, not realizing they’re all dragon shifters hiding their secret behind leather bracelets and careful stories. As feelings grow, Can discovers he’s exactly where he’s meant to be — in a house full of love, fire, and fated mates. This was such a sweet, warm story, especially because Cam fell for the children long before he fell for Price. Their chaotic charm and affection made every scene with them shine, and I loved all the close shaves Cam had with discovering the truth — and the dramatic moments when everything finally came out. The way they slowly became a family was lovely to watch, even if I did feel the romance between Cam and Price needed a bit more affection to feel fully believable. Still, the heart of the story (the kids, the growing trust, the gentle emotions) worked beautifully. A tender, fire‑kissed tale full of feelings, family, and the kind of love that sneaks up on you.
