Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 38mJust finished reading There is no Anti Memetics Division by @qntm.org - a very strange and interesting piece of horror about how foul ideas can propagate and take over, often without anyone being able to notice. A genuinely curious read. (Yes, I finished reading this at a gig) #books 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I did a thing! A very big thank you to Mr Board Games @eizebasa.baby to leading to this being made and done! Kind of a crazy step in my life, really. Look, that's me! 0101
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I've been really dragging my feet in editing my novel. I keep getting closer to being left with all the chapters that have a character in need of wholesale rewriting and that's a pain. But I need to crack on and rip that bandage off, hair, scab, and all. #writing 001
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 28/09/2026This is the central thrust (one of many) of my long worked on novel! The threat of just giving up on it all and becoming 'some guy'. 110
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I lie on my girlfriend's bed with my arms crossed on my chest like Dracula. The cold I've been housing in my body slowly takes over the remaining 20% of my brain. I am nothing more than goo. 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Could Link's Awakening be considered a wet dream? (I am so sorry) 080
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 16/09/2026I was literally just wondering how your continued quest/sacrifice was going after being lightly incensed at the first being nominated for Arthur C Clarke Award. Open up Bluesky and here it is. I continue to refuse these books are at all good. 110
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I'm officially giving up on this collection of H P Lovecraft tales, such as The Call of Cthulhu They're just frightfully boring and not well written. Over long and laborious in every way. The Dunwich Horror and Rats in the Walls were suitably something, but Dreams in the Witch House killed me #books 020
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Wow, what's that coming out of the fog and the mist and looking all cool in a big cloak? Why, it's my video on Mistborn: The Deckbuilding Game which is a board game based on the works of Brandon Sanderson, specifically some of the good books of his! Check it out! youtu.be/SF1E7Ya_9tMyoutu.beMistborn: The Deckbuilding Game - There's Always Another Secret - Behold, Board Games!YouTube video by MozilloGames 010
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Love that wet sheen everything has. Just really glistening and catching evey speck of light! Oh baby, it is wet. 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 08/09/2026After 40 years, Nintendo have finally developed the technology to move the camera freely and also "jump" at the press of a "button", they're hoping this development will take gaming in bold new directions. 0210
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 08/09/2026As much as that initial forest shot looked like visual melange, the sense of scale and colour of the Deku Tree, Mountain, and town has been quite nice to see. 110
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 08/09/2026There is something hilarious about the mindset of old-skool Japanese Devs when they feel like it's a point of note to go "After 40 years, we finally developed the technology to free move the camera and have a dedicated jump button" Something only a very nostalgia-heavy culture could achieve #Zelda 010
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 08/09/2026The screen looks like vomit, or that one awful AI Mario video, but to be fair, kid Link does look kind of alright? 240
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 03/09/2026But with the upcoming Sephiroth story DLC we might finally know Sephiroth. 050
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Not to dunk on Americans too much, but what is dessert hummus? 130
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Editing my book is the pits as I flip-flop hard between thinking I'm maybe okay at writing and that everything I've ever typed should be sunk to the bottom of the sea. Me included. Especially as I keep thinking of short story ideas I want to write... and then have no clue what to do with. #writing 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Just finished reading The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea by Yukio Mishima - Not at all how I expected it to go. Knowing about him, you can see how this book invokes his views of a dying empire and a lost sense of noble honour within Japan. #books 010
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Hitting that point of my life where I wonder if I should just become an otamatone guy. You know, show up to the function, get talking around the fire, and then hit them with "Anyway, here's Wonderwall" and just warble it out. 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Realising I could never write a short story as concise and effective as this actual news story. Smashing through a Bronze Age burial site to appease arrested development adults obsessed with a fictional character. Like what the hell man, this article is too good. www.theguardian.com/environment/...theguardian.comHarry Potter fans force relocation of £430m undersea cable to avoid Dobby’s ‘grave’Power cable linking UK and Ireland now passes near Bronze Age human burial remains instead of fictional grave on Welsh beach 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 05/08/2026Just finished You Weren't Meant To Be Human by Andrew Joseph White. It was odd. At times incredibly evocative, but at others it is just a bit unmoving. I'd have liked to have been stuck less in Crane's head, repeating the same self-loathing diatribes, and maybe done something at some point. #books 010
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Could a 33 year-old do this!? Well, yes, because today is my birthday and that is very much me doing exactly that. A fun V5. Sure, I've once more busted my finger, but I'm young(?), I'm invincible(?), and I will never suffer consequences(?). Now I just need to properly finish my novel... #climbing 040
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 01/08/2026I awoke and thought "Educating Reaper!" but that's a play/film from the 80s. 000

Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Just finished Jade City by Fonda Lee. I'd heard lots of praise for this and it didn't quite live up to it. An interesting world let down slightly by uninteresting characters often doing uninteresting things. This story didn't need to be 500 pages long. The second is meant to be better. #books 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 22/07/2026I've begun my big edit of my book (I gave up waiting for one friend to read it as she is now addicted to Pokemon Go), and it has been great for my confidence. I'm reading bits of prose that are really good? I wrote that? Why did one of my friends hate this? #writing 100
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Reading the synopsis and I am so glad that it is in fact Etsy Witches Gone Wrong. Pre-order placed! Interesting to go straight to paperback, but my bookshelf space will appreciate it! 011
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Guess who finally made a new video! That's right, me, a normal human being and not a vampire. Important details. I took a look at Vampire Crawlers, the dungeon crawling (yay), deck building (even more yay) adventure (sure!). A strange adaptation of Vampire Survivors that works! youtu.be/zCxwbWCInFgyoutu.beVampire Crawlers - An Unfolding Puzzle - Indie LookYouTube video by MozilloGames 011

Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Just finished The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin and it was ... fine. It really picks up around the middle point, but there were lots of points where I had to force myself through it, a bit like a trek across a glacier. I feel like it didn't hit me as it did others... #books 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Received an email from my manager telling me that the rest of the team are working from home this whole week due to the heatwave. I have to be in every day in an un-air-conditioned office. The advice I was given was to stay hydrated. 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Very much a book series I've convinced myself that everyone is probably lying about how good it is. It just screams Ready Player One. 110
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 15/06/2026It is time for the yearly surf trip with friends which means it is also time to see how many board games I can fit in one box. I have 5 here with room to spare! 010
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 13/06/2026Bought a new houseplant. It is too big for the pot I already own... I am not good at plants... 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 11/06/2026It would be called something like "I Am Hostage To My Cat" and would be a first person story about someone getting a cat and then how they feel like they have to keep living because of that. It would be depressing! A bit like No Longer Human, which is also very depressing 110
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 11/06/2026This weekend I'm hopefully going to get the last bit of feedback from my friend on my first draft, so can then start working on a second! But, I've also come up with a load of new ideas for short stories and a novella that I really want to write and do not have the time for!! Oh no. #Writing 140
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 11/06/2026It very much feels like the last days of civilisation as people fundamentally don't understand the concept of a teaser trailer. We've become so 'lore-brained' that all art is reduced to the idea of 'canon' when they should really be focused on.... Ganon 010
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 10/06/2026We can have one episode with the Absorbaloph... but they've also got cancer 030
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 10/06/2026Genuinely spent a lot of my lunch break thinking about a cool Doctor Who series I'd make where it's sad and explores grief and the transient nature of the Doctor as a time traveler. I have £10 120
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 09/06/2026Oh, I got excited for a moment. But I thought the sword design looked familiar from the 30 minutes I put into that mobile game many moons ago. Lame. 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 09/06/2026I can't believe they actually made that 100 year old image of "What if Zelda was made today?" And it's that hyper realistic deku scrub version of Link 0100
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 07/06/2026After Remake came out i made a video about how the whispers are "us" or "the fans" observing the key scenes, making sure things happen exactly as the original thing. It was a cool idea that worked well with the ending. Then Rebirth just continued on like nothing happened. 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 06/06/2026Crying in bed because my cat is drooling all over my hand while purring and leaning on me and it means that he's incredibly happy and content. I'll get there too, one day. 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 06/06/2026The Stella Blade 2 trailer literally had me thinking "this would be a great Final Fantasy 17 setting!" Like a mix of 7 and 13, and could see how they could turn that around quickly. And then I was disappointed. 000
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 06/06/2026The Revelation will be that we'll finally know Sephiroth. 010
Chris Something @mozillo.bsky.social · 06/06/2026I dunno, man, the music still makes me very weepy very fast. The remake music compositions are a great homage to the original. I do think that does a lot of the heavy lifting with my "i enjoy this story". Just seeing the gang i love do hijinks. Let me enjoy my nostalgia slop! 030
