I recommend getting into a successful franchise and finding a favourite character who isn't the protagonist so you get to be excited every time new material comes out that remembers to include them.

Ep 8 had some great humanising moments with the Zeon soldiers dropping provisions for the widow and child and then them looking after their wounds after Amuro shot them down. If you looked at this show and thought "cool robot", you must have been really stupid.

I do really find it interesting Char basically takes action and confronts them directly every episode. Maybe they did that in the sci-fi serials of the time? For budget reasons? So you didn't need to hire new actors all the time?

The advantages of dot points (in dot points!) - it makes the sentences shorter and so requires less reading - it lets you know a series of statements with equal value will occur - it breaks up long paragraphs, making it look more appealing - it efficiently answers the fucking question-

I'd actually say since Early Super, there seems to be a mindful effort to make sure every piece of Dragon Ball media is at least of a certain level of quality. We haven't had any complete subpar things since then.

I guess it's fair for people to treat Akio Iyoku as Public Enemy #1 for the Dragon Ball fandom, but you don't need to fool yourself into believing the franchise came out with much better content before 2013.
