My view on the offside is that, regardless of whether the interpretation of the laws was applied correctly or not, instances such as those *should* be given offside. If that is not clear in the rules of the game, it should be made clear.

Ffs! You know what though, I hate our attitude in games. From about 65 minutes, we tried to control the game without any attacking intent. Its a weak mentality and you cant do it. It has cost us today, it will cost us again in the future.

Defending Martinez a little here. It happens when its late in the game, and your well in the lead, players stop running and showing for the ball. They think the game is won. Martinez WAS playing that ball into feet all game. But when players stop showing for the ball, it causes indecision.

It importance of a pre match warm up and stretching cannot be underestimated, especially at 43 years old. On holiday and just played a "family game" of football without a warm up and my thigh feels like its torn itself in half. 🤣

Assuming Baleba goes through, I think we'll have ~£50m left in the kitty for this summer, which i think we'll use some of, to buy a LB. (Salinas for £16?) Futures of Rashford and Zirkzee will determine whether we use the rest to go for an attacker.

My mum was 20 when England won the World Cup in 1966. She's not a big football fan, but really got into this tournament. Even stayed up to watch the Mexico game. I hope I get to see England win it one day.

Pickford made a couple good saves this evening, but anyone questioning the 1st goal? Yes, we gave Enzo a ridiculous amount of space, and no one decided to do anything about the time and space we allowed them at their short corners... But, for the goal, he just didnt seem to shift his feet.

Konsa for Gordon with 20+ minutes to play... Its one thing to put men behind the ball, but you need a counter attacking threat. You need the opposition to be scared of that turnover. We put everyone behind the ball and just hoped.

Chalobah and Mainoo the only outfield players not to play a single minute this tournament.

We'll spend ~£250m this summer. Ederson and Santos for a combined £85m immediately adds depth, but also leaves plenty in the kitty to be "agile" for some big targets.

Martinez as manager? Thats what you get. Absolute snoozefest of a game. Had to check i wasnt watching on half speed.
