(Viktorverse Lore stuff) Ok I know this is gonna be boring and stupid to 99% of the people here but the other day my roommate was kind of confused by how the portal stuff in Viktorverse things work so here is an incredibly basic breakdown

Way back in ye olden days a very powerful magic user managed to open a “door” to another world with a piece of solid anomalis that had been conjured up by alchemists. This was first contact with worldhopping.
When dimensions met, the anomalis between the two naturally leveled out over the course of many years- and throughout that time, negotiations were made. Glasson gets control of a large portion of that world’s anomalis in exchange for protection. With the help of (usually less than they earn) anomalis and their most powerful magic users, Glasson sets up a protective barrier around both worlds that prevents portals from other worlds breaking through. Over time this leads to them being connected with hundreds of worlds and having many contracts with them. It’s basically a magic bureaucracy.”
