I've been creating some new charts looking at race pace and I quite like this one that tracks the rolling 5-race average race pace. Really shows how the top 4 converged late in the season. Go and have a play; you can configure the chart with your own riders: mototiming.live/stats/season...

This crazy photo of Mir on the Honda is giving me F1 2008 vibes, just before F1 banned most aero apart from the front and rear wings. MotoGP's 2027 regs aren't quite so extreme, but it's going to be fascinating to see how the bikes line up next year.

That time of the year again when we’re faced with the eye-watering renewal fee for VideoPass. 200 Euros for me or whatever that is in pounds. That is a lot to pay in one go, and I instinctively balk at it. A tenner a month would be so much better.

Interesting that the Moto3 team BOE Motorsports has ended up with two riders from the southern hemisphere, with Kiwi Cormac Buchanan joined by South African Ruche Moodley. You'd call that a rare event, but we've just had two years of antipodeans in the KTM MotoGP factory squad.

I've managed to squash a couple of edge case bugs related to tests that were causing some weirdness with session names and duplicated riders on the results sheet. This is all in my containing quest to add exceptions for unreliable, incomplete and plain wrong data retrieved from the MotoGP API.
