Cassidy, if the Stellantis powertrain continues to be faster than the Porsche, is most likely to win the title this season imo. It was nice to see Mortara getting a full race together without incident - he and Mahindra aren't consistent enough, but if he doesn't hit someone, he will usually podium.

Cassidy followed home by Mortara, Rowland, and Dennis, and that's possibly the best of Formula E at the front there (though JEV and Wehrlein are in that group too). Any one of those drivers could easily slot onto the F1 grid and compete.

A debate I've had is whether Dan Ticktum gets so much aggravation for his whining on the radio because, unlike Fernando Alonso, he whines not in an urbane Oviedo accent, but a nasal Essex accent. Can he be a bit 'Tantrums and Tiaras'? Sure. But Formula E can, at times, look like a very silly sport.

Wehrlein misses out on pole due to a 3-place grid penalty for "wheelspinning" (something it's hard NOT to do when starting a Gen3) in the pitlane. Yes, could endanger crews, but context: nobody was standing near the car, and is it really worth influencing the outcome of the race, or just fine him?

Formula E is meant to be the disruptor, it's got nothing to lose. Pick a woman and she's slow, they get marketing for a season. Pick a woman and she's quick, and everyone realises these cars don't physically inhibit anyone, and the standard of women racers is higher than ever.
