Lawrence O'Donnell showed side-by-side videos of how the press treated Trump and Biden early last year. For Biden, they were all screaming questions at him about him committing crimes with his son. For Trump, it was orderly questions about whatever dumb topic he wanted. I'll never forgive them.

Why do we keep framing what we see in the MSM as some form of incompetence? They're not stupid. They are writing exactly the stories they intend to write and are being paid to write. They are part of the fascist project. None of this has to do with the MSM trying and somehow failing to do journalism

“Ontario” isn’t some name Canada invented. The name comes from Native American/Indigenous people. It is traced to an Iroquois/Iroquoian word, commonly given as kanadario, meaning “sparkling water.” The name was being used for the lake centuries before Ontario even became a Canadian province.

DHS is, unfortunately, necessary ICE is not DHS & ICE were both born from the fear and panic after 9/11, under an administration that used that fear to expand state power and launch a war over WMDs that didn’t exist ICE has always had one purpose. The expansion of state power, justified by fear

Marijuana today is much more potent than just ten or twenty years ago, leading to increased psychosis, anti-social behavior, and fatal car crashes. Arkansans don’t want more dangerous drugs obtained more easily. A change to marijuana’s drug classification is a step in the wrong direction.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Tom is lying - Opinion polls consistently show that Arkansans favor legalizing marijuana:

The Arkansas government is engaging in an active effort to subvert the will of its constituents by packing courts and changing ballot initiative thresholds:

Feeling guilt isn’t the absence of innocence, it is the acceptance of accountability and responsibility for one’s own actions. When a court finds you guilty it is a debt to society but in a society that avoids accountability at its core, misplaced or absent guilt empowers degeneracy and injustice.

To Struggle Is to Remember A call to take action and organize events on January 18, Day of the Forest Defender, in memory of Tortuguita, killed by Georgia State Patrolmen on that day in 2023. crimethinc.com/ForestDefend... Together, we can create a world without police or deforestation.
A rectangular poster with a pink and green background. The background depicts the pink silhouettes of 2 protesters, running from green police teargas. The silhouette on the left has a backpack and is carrying a sign. The silhouette in the foreground is wearing a backpack and a hood. The image is overlaid with black and white text. At the top of the image, bold black text reads: “To Struggle Is To Remember.” The line below has white text that reads: “Day of the Forest Defender January 18.” The bottom of poster is overlaid by white text that reads: “A call to organize in memory of Tortuguita, towards a better world. Organize an informational event on those living under siege. Host a power mapping session against a local police foundation, detention center, or surveillance network. Put on a letter writing event for our political prisoners, like the Prairieland defendants. Organize a show to raise funds for a good cause, or an action to do harm to a bad one. Plan to defend a forest from destruction. Hold a vigil to honor Tortuguita.”

Fusion Centers are a core infrastructure driving the growth of the surveillance industry & apparatus across the US. The recommendation here misunderstands the problem. The issue isn't federal access to Fusion Center data. The problem is the existence of Fusion Centers.

🚨 Stay Prepared, Stay Empowered! We’ve created a Citizen Guide to help you navigate extreme situations like Martial Law- not to alarm, but to inform. 🌐💡Again - not sounding an alarm, just informing. Print it out or save it offline so you can access it anytime, even without the internet.
1. Introduction to Martial Law
What is Martial Law?
Martial law is the temporary imposition of direct military control over civil functions or the suspension of civil law. Governments may declare martial law during emergencies such as natural disasters, war, or civil unrest. However, misuse of martial law can undermine democratic rights and civil liberties.
Legal Foundations of Martial Law:
In many countries, martial law can only be declared under specific conditions and often requires approval from the legislative branch. In the United States, for example, the Posse Comitatus Act limits the use of federal military personnel in enforcing domestic policies.
Potential Misuses of Martial Law:
Throughout history, martial law has been misused to consolidate power, suppress dissent, and restrict civil freedoms. Citizens should be aware of their rights and prepared to respond to unlawful declarations of martial law.
2. Historical Examples of Martial Law
- United States (1863): President Lincoln suspended habeas corpus during the Civil War.
- Poland (1981): Martial law used to suppress political opposition, leading to mass protests.
- Philippines (1972): Marcos declared martial law, leading to human rights abuses.
- Myanmar (2021): Military coup imposed martial law, sparking international condemnation.
- South Korea (2024): President Yoon declared martial law in response to escalating tensions. [Read More](https://www.csis.org/analysis/yoon-declares-martial-law-south-
korea3. Understanding False Flag Events
A false flag event is an act committed to appear as though it was carried out by another party, often used to justify extreme government measures.
Historical Examples:
- Reichstag Fire (1933): Used by Nazi Germany to consolidate power.
- Gulf of Tonkin Incident (1964): Led to increased U.S. involvement in Vietnam.
4. Citizen Response to Illegally Declared Martial Law
Legal Actions:
- Consult constitutional lawyers and civil rights groups.
- File lawsuits to challenge unlawful orders.
- Document human rights violations with time-stamped evidence.
Community Organization:
- Build local support networks for food, shelter, and information.
- Establish safe meeting points and alternative evacuation routes.
- Organize peaceful protests and advocacy campaigns.5. Why Decentralized Networks Matter
In times of crisis, especially under martial law or internet blackouts, centralized communication channels may be censored, monitored, or shut down. Decentralized networks allow for peer-to-peer communication, protecting privacy and ensuring information flow even when traditional channels are compromised.
**Setting Up Now is Crucial:**
- Pre-install decentralized apps and tools.
- Familiarize yourself with offline communication methods.
- Establish local communication groups using decentralized platforms.
Recommended Platforms:
- **Briar**: An app that uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, even without internet access. [Briar Website](https://briarproject.org)
- **Mesh Networks**: Establish local networks that bypass centralized control.
- **Serval Mesh**: Designed for disaster scenarios, allowing phones to communicate without infrastructure. [Serval Project) (https://www.servalproject.org)
- **goTenna Mesh**: A popular off-grid communication tool using small devices that pair with smartphones. [goTenna Website](https://www.gotenna.com)
- **TOR & VPNs**: Mask identity and evade government firewalls.
- **The Onion Router (TOR)**: A highly secure browser that anonymizes internet activity. [TOR Project] (https://www.torproject.org)
- **ProtonVPN**: A widely trusted VPN service with a strong commitment to privacy.
[ProtonVPN](https://protonvpn.com)
- **Mastodon**: A decentralized social media platform that allows users to communicate without centralized servers. [Mastodon Website](https://mastodon.social)
- **Session**: A decentralized messaging app with end-to-end encryption. [Session
Website](https://getsession.org)6. Emergency Actions Checklist
- Stockpile essential supplies (food, water, medicine).
- Back up important documents and store in a secure location.
- Establish encrypted communication channels with family and community.
- Know your legal rights and how to contact civil liberties organizations.

On this Jan 6th, take it from a person who grew up with a narcissistic mother: RESISTANCE isn't always combat. Resistance is also choosing actions that give you your own self-respect. Finding healthy sources of information outside of them. & fighting FOR your own ideals, instead of fighting them.
Take it from a person who grew up with a narcissistic mother: resistance isn’t entirely combat. Resistance is also: avoiding low-hanging fruit; doing things they didn’t want you to do; deciding your future even if it’s unpopular; choosing actions that give you your own self-respect; finding healthy sources of information outside of them; being successful even when the odds are stacked against you; finding acceptance from people they didn’t want you to know existed; fighting FOR happiness instead of fighting them - which keeps you IN unhappiness. And leading others to see that false choices created by toxic people only perpetuate their control of you. And that isn’t resistance.
