Hieracium pulchrius (Beutiful Hawkweed) a scarce and vulnerable species nationaly, recently recorded from three sites in the Brecon beacons and one in Herefordshire ,classing it as Vulnerable , only this one plant found on Craig Cwm Ddu on 2.8.26.

A 12 hour day hiking up past Craig Cerrig Glesiad and over yonder to Craig Cwm Ddu to search its flanks for its rare Hiracium sp 2.8.26 ,i have searched ot once before some years back in the coldwr months for bryophyts ,still good to enjoy its steep terrain and rugged old red sandstone Crags 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

A great day accending the Nant y Gwyddyl gorge 1.8.26,hard going habitat ,limboing under and climbing over meny a fallen tree as i went upstream ,no chance of going off the stream as the thickest bramble i have seen , even had to climb a waterfall ,still all good fun 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Hieracium tavense (Black mountain Hawkweed) a rare welsh endemic ,restricted to the Nant-y-Llyn a small upland river in the upper Tawe valley , found by Augustine Ley in 1899,it is only known from an unstable cliff on the North side of small waterfall and that is its wourld population 18.7.26🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Wow that is nice , i vet ypu get Monotropa uniflora over there ?, i see Monotropa hypopity's a fair bit in are beech woods ,usualy on my Epipogium hunting seshions , id love to see M uniflora oneday , but a British Epipogium Aphylum is the dream of all dreams .

Hieracium prenanthoides (Rouh-leaved Hawkweed) only two sites for Wales for this species, Craig Cwm Ddu that i will visit next weekend and here pictured on Tarron yr Esgob,i found it on Tarron in its known locality,just a handfull of plants, but also discovered a new unknown locality of 30+ plants 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
