Yes! Born with teeth is coming to Stratford-upon-Avon! This has made my day!

Bill bruce @mosscottagebnb.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Just out of Wuthering heights at the Attic Theatre. I wonder if I am the only person that doesn't know the story. Great doubling from the cast for the repetition compulsion of the story. Really enjoyed it. On till the 27th September. Well worth the 20 quid, cheaper for us more mature peeps.

One of last night's guests was a man that built the boat that Rosie and Jim used in the Raggy Dolls TV shows. Now THAT is a local legend of a man. 😁

The lady in the van at the bearpit theatre in Stratford is a joy to watch!

@mrjamesob.bsky.social I'm wondering if farage is now trying to get arrested for causing riots so that he can become a martyr to free speech. Plus it'll take the pressure off his £5 million.

Last night we had our own Tempest.

Bill bruce @mosscottagebnb.bsky.social · 14/05/2026

The tempest at the rsc is really worth seeing. Lovely to see the main characters not "acting" but just being..

As i was walking beside the Avon in the beautiful sunshine today I noticed these swans dancing so romantically that I thought i should video it. I wasn't expecting then ending thought. Rude! 😳 🫣 😁

How is that when weeding a part of the garden that we weed, dig and plant every year, this suddenly appears? 🤪

Another great theatre experience at the moment is The boy who harnessed the wind at the RSC. African based musical, non stop story, music and dance.

I've kind of avoided youth theatre up till now. But last night we caught the last night of The Borrowers at The Bearpit. What a wonderful surprise! A great adaptation that seemed to have undertones of nazi Germany, not sure if that was in the original novel.

Yesterday afternoon I went to The Attic theatre to see Wizard of Oz. How you you creat such a hugely visual film into a small theatre? With creativity and fun, thats how! Apart from Follow the yellow brick road it has all new songs. Loved it! As did everyone else aged 7 to 70. Go see it.

Managed to catch Hamlet, Hail to the thief just before it ends its run at the RSC. That was quite a show / play / dance / musical / type thingy.

Always nice to see the Swan theatre bear dressed for the current play. A floral hat for the lovely costumes of A constant wife.

Just out of And then there were none. At the bearpit theatre is Stratford-upon-Avon. I think that must be the best amateur theatre I've ever seen! Can I see it again now that I know the rhyme?

This week at the Attic theatre is The memory of water and its a cracker of a show! 3 daughters come together in their mother's bedroom just after she dies. Brilliant family dynamics, very fast moving and very funny. All at a fraction of rsc prices.

In electing a serious and fearless progressive, the College of Cardinals looks like pretty much the only electorate in the world that hasn't had its brains boiled by far right propaganda & toxic social media. For a Catholic of my generation, this is an almost unbelievable development.

But the finest Shakespeare performances in Stratford-upon-Avon at the moment has to go to The Attic Theatre for their Henry V. True story telling how Shakespeare would have wanted it. Please try to see it.

I was delighted when the kind people at the Inland Revenue wrote to me recently, telling me that my tax return was 'outstanding', particularly since I can't even remember sending it in. Tom McCann, Wokingham
