Thanks! I use 300g watercolor paper(Winsor & Newton, Saunders Waterford, Arche for instance) and water resistant Indina ink (Dr Ph Martin's, Pelikan, Royal Talens or Rotring are all very good)

Another process video but not a timelapse this time. It doesn't look like it but it is accelerated a little, that's how slow my painting is 😅

It's not a fan art, just an improvised character

Waiting for an opponent 🤜 Watercolors + Indian ink.

Watercolor painting of a girl waiting waiting for an opponent next to an arcade cabinet, she has a blue t-shirt with a yellow rim akin to Chun-Li's, beige pants, and a big afro hairdo. The cabinet is yellow and very much inspired by Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.

Close to completing this series at last! Book 1 was released back in 2020 and sold... poorly (to quote the Grail Knight in 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'), but things started to look up once I had Book 2 out, and now Book 3 is nearly ready :) (Watercolour art by the amazing Marcel Mosqi!)

Banner image of the 3 covers for epic fantasy/YA series 'The Five Furies' by Ashley Capes

Book 1: War Heart
Book 2: Scales of Fire
Book 3: Dark Fang

Each cover is a watercolour painting by Marcel Mosqi, with Book 1 featuring a young man encountering a goddess in a dark ruin. She is robed in blue and yellow feathers.

Book 2 shows the same young man and his friends beneath a blue sky, approaching a giant dragon skull, a white bone that appears like a small mountain in the distance.

For Book 3, the lead characters have stumbled upon a grey-scaled dragon rearing above a green jungle. The characters seem surprised and awed.

Thanks! I just bought for something like 30€, it's a bad A4 thin light box, but that works for what I do. Though I have to hide from ambient light as it's not very powerful.

I guess people feel good about themselves when they feed animals, I can't blame them for that but yeah I don't think they're helping the animals by doing so .

Don't feed animals other than your pets, I think.

Sometimes you have a nice Saturday morning, a beautiful and quite rare baseball cap, a cool t-shirt, and a very sick pigeon decides all of this is over.

Sorry I just realized I misread and didn't answer the "weight part" - that doesn't change the fact that it's not dip pen friendly, but my watercolor papers are all 300g/m²

For dpi pens especially I don't know, I use watercolor paper because I paint with watercolors, and the grain makes inking way harder than smooth paper. If plan on using watercolors, hot pressed watercolor paper is easier to ink, but much harder to paint 🤷‍♂️
