The photo's framing with the two traffic signals above it don't help with the ominous vibes.

Does the game have different lasts for different body types, or is that black dress padded to have that degree of curve?

I think I only remember this from family stories, but I apparently saw Gremlins and got so scared I wet the bed that night.

“Bongo” Ballpoint pen, pencil, watercolor, acrylic paint, and a little colored pencil.

Our man is in trouble this time, reader. Art supplies are scattered around a painting of an abstract cityscape. On the canvas we see a man in a telephone booth making a frantic call to his cat, Bongo. In the foreground, an answering machine is taking his voicemail, [Leave a message at the beep] --- “Bongo, Daddy got stuck in the painting. Go get help, Bongo.” Bongo stands at the base of the easel looking at the phone. Her tail in the air and ears perked up. Whether she’ll be able to help is open to interpretation.

Artist’s note: One of my favorites from the Spooky Pants book. I was playing around with the idea of a painting coming to life (like that guy in Ghostbusters 2) and kind of fumbled my way into this version. I really draw a lot of corded phones. I won’t stop.

I wonder if the ubiquity of automatic skin smoothing in photos these days makes it harder to catch skin cancer. Is this mole new or have I just been gaslit by technology into doubting my own senses?

Fun Fact! The premiere of the boneitis episode (March 31, 2002) was closer to the real 1980s than to today!

I would love to incorporate it into my mathematics...but that might toe the line of appropriation, given the script's cultural significance.

Omg, how have I never seen Tifinagh script before?! It's a traditional orthography of the Berber languages, and its *gorgeous*...each character feels precise and compelling, and there is so much variety in the motifs.
A table of the characters of the Tifinagh script. It's, uh, kind of hard to describe. A lot of straight-lines, geometric configurations of dots, and perfect circles. It feels runic at times, and at other times it feels completely novel to my western sensibilities.

- He was his time's foremost scholar on scandinvian runes and runestones. - He died at 66 from treating victims of the plague, unlike most physicians of his time. - In Lovecraft's Mythos, Ole Worm was a translator of the Necronomicon.

- He married the son of Thomas Fincke, the mathematician who coined the term "tangent lines" - He disproved a number of common beliefs, like the existence of unicorns, that lemmings spontaneously generated, and that birds of paradise didn't have feet.

It looks like this dude ruled, too. - He was a pioneer in the study of the development of the human body. The Wormian bones in the skull are named after him. - He was personal physician to the kind of Denmark - He had a pet great auk, and his drawing of it is the only know depiction of a live one.

"Voting with your dollars" is just a psy-op to convince people that their consumption gives them political power, instead of taking it away. Boycotts only work with coordination and sacrifice, not trendy reels.

I propose "eucatastrophizing". A "eucatastrophe" is a sudden positive development. The term was introduced by Tolkien to describe a trope in stories and mythology where a bunch of threads come together to save the protagonist. Tolkien interpreted as the invisible hand of the divine.
