AC blower motor has been sporadically giving out, so I bought a replacement months ago but wanted to wait for a day it wasn't unbearable to swap it out. Fully died yesterday, so I said fuck it and did it live in the recycling center parking lot yesterday.

At least one of my core stressors has been reduced. Cro was given the clear to remove the wrap. The bump in his ear is likely a leftover clot and scar tissue now, so onto the cauliflower ear stage. Poor baby has lost some hair on his face from the wrap, though.

It's insane how much more relieved I feel with this rather than the cone/wrap combo. The structure provided by the internal boning and the secure collar make it so much more difficult for him to get out of but provide much easier access to his face and ear.

ANYWAY. Thanks to an incredible postal worker who was staying late to deal with claims, I got to pick up my package after hours and one very angry drive to the post office and very unhappy Cro later, we have a much more secure way of keeping back his ear so it can heal.

He's got a hematoma. 🫠 Vet said it can wait until morning but now I don't even know if I can sleep. Nothing else is concerning yet, and he's not showing signs of pain, but it needs to get addressed before he absorbs the blood back into his body.
