Things have not been going well lately. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up.

Cherub Lore; I drew the attached on a laptop with a mouse, sitting in my in-law's living room, the night before I got married ~15 years ago. The gnome was named Calabim, and the DK starting armor was by far the best DK armor. (It would be still years before transmog was a thing though.)

I often used Destiny and Destiny 2 to flush my mental cache when working. It felt so good to play moment to moment that my brain could relax. If I got stuck on a drawing, I would do a strike or a dungeon, and my decisions would improve. Since Art is 90% decision making, I wound up making better work

Checking in. I am still alive, working on cool stuff. Trying to keep superfluous posts (stuff not related to art) to a minimum, and it has been a challenge lately.

If I try to copy Joe Mad, then the best I can ever be is a copy of Joe Mad. This is a convenient excuse for me being... ya know... bad.

Got a bad medical check-up, and I need to take a break from social media for my health. My issue is mostly stress-related. Though, some minor surgery may be needed. (I'll be fine.) Before I go, I'd just like to advertise the two things I'm doing.

It's rough out there. Things need to drastically shift in the next year or two or I have to move on from NSFW content.

I took a bunch of extra time with this because I was trying to do everything in Clip Studio Paint. I hope you enjoy it.

- It is more important to find "your way" than "THE way" - Make what you want to see, not what you think others want to see. - This may sound defeatist, but truly, if you can imagine yourself doing anything else, do that instead and make art a hobby.

- My favorite all-in-one art tutorial spiff.rit.edu/richmond/mt/... - It is a lifelong learning process. Michelangelo was going to life drawing class in his 80s. - Relationships are important both for growth in skill but for jobs as well.

I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling this way, but advertising myself makes me cringe. Doing this Patreon sale, advertising it on my socials, etc. is all completely against my nature. But, it's a necessity; a part of the profession I chose.

Guilty Gear was the FG my metal-head friends liked. I am a filthy Baiken main. Have been since the original game when crouching HS was enough to beat most of them. I miss her alpha counters. I picked her because I like huge titties on cool characters. She was always busty, I will die on this hill.

Street Fighter 2 on the Amiga was the first fighting game I ever played, and it ran at like 2FPS. I'd play against the computer and win with Dhalsim because everything ran so slow.

The local (now shuttered) Pizzeria had a MK1 (oh god, what do we call it now?) cabinent and gathering around that thing after school with like 10 kids to is a core memory and why I will buy any MK that comes out. And you know what, I like MK12 more than MK11. There, I said it.

I loved Killer Instinct, but lived 3 hours away from an Arcade. Once it came out on SNES, I spent hours learning Thunder combos. I've listend to that soundtrack CD all the fucking time. KI (2013) was the first online fighting game experience that felt good. (I live in the middle of nowhere)

I just found out about the Reddit Art Mod fiasco. Although I have never really gotten into Reddit, I am not surprised by the mod. I have dealt with people like that in nearly every online forum. Toph Heavy exists as a "fuck you" to someone like that on Deviant Art.

With everything going on, the itchio situation, and the new law in the UK taking effect. I realize that I need to work on an exit strategy from smut. I'll probably still draw well endowed anime girls. I am me after all. It'll just be less...Brazzers and more...Neir Automata 🤞
