As a professor at Oxford, I’ll say this: some of the Oxford signatories of the pro-Cofnas letter worked like hell to shut down student speech during the Gaza encampment. Their hubris and hypocrisy is hardly surprising. This is, after all, the institution that perfected liberal imperial doublespeak.

Really honored to be included here. Collectively, these articles paint a stark, damning picture of the historical and contemporary limitations of global liberalism working out its exclusionary, imperial impulses through the bodies of "innocents." @humanityj.bsky.social bsky.app/profile/huma...

Trump’s Foreign Policy Isn’t the Problem
It reflects, like a funhouse mirror, a twisted image of U.S. imperialism.

Amazed and touched that my essay, "Blood Ties,” was included in this lineup with such fantastic company.

Move the setting from D.C. to Leopoldstadt, replace "migrants and refugees" with Jews and communists, and EVERYTHING about this reads like a cribbed passage from Mein Kampf.

History will not look kindly on either the current Democratic leadership or university administrators. The word is "appeasement." Just say it.

Lesson learned. The mild suggestion that Trump's anti-DEI edicts are an excuse for liberal arts colleges and universities to hire more mediocre white men DOES NOT go down well with the mediocre white men on X!!! 😀

“It would be worthwhile to study clinically, in detail, the steps taken by Hitler & Hitlerism & to reveal to the very distinguished, very humanistic, very Christian bourgeois of the twentieth century that without his being aware of it, he has a Hitler inside him.” —Aimé Césaire @morefius.bsky.social

In one fell stroke, the Clintons transformed health care reform into the third rail of American politics and buttressed the relentless pursuit of geopolitical primacy. @morefius.bsky.social on the bipartisan failures that have led to this dire moment:

The Pinsker Centre is HORRIFIED that a small group of students occupied a building - and were quickly removed - while 100% of universities in Gaza have been destroyed by bombs that Oxford supports with its investments. Save your outrage for Oxford and the IDF and GET SOME MORAL PERSPECTIVE!!!

Late to blue sky and finding I just don’t have the energy for this any more. Could someone just export my completely useless 6,000 followers from X for me? I’m too old and not entrepreneurial enough to be a proper intellectual in 2025…..!!!
