Yeah alright high opinion of Arc Rise Fantasia off of the Day 1. Difficulty between bosses and random encounters feels a bit off with there also being a spell charge system but aside from that already seeing a ton of the game's mechanics and systems flow together in interesting ways.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions pretty dang fun, I'm glad it felt self-aware and was shameless in presenting itself, which made everything actually work for me. Gameplay wise I think it's above average for a modern game but as far as SMT goes I always think "I'd like this more if it were more like Nocturne"

Finished up DQ6 today (technically beat The Guy yesterday but didn't have time to finish credits sequence) Liked it more than I thought, story pacing, world exploration, pointing at all the monsters because I grew up with DWM, all big plusses. Refreshing to be playing DQ6 after SMTV as far as random vs symbol encounters go. Trudging through a cave to luck into a win con when I was down to dealing 1-3 damage a turn, then getting out with 0 healing left and ~30hp in the party gives me the exact feeling I was yearning for.

Did Demi-Fiend on Hard, no cheese on magic build and it sure did take over an hour. Really hard to gauge superbosses because I feel that the ones in more popular games tend to ask for way too much and arent as fun as the ones I've experienced in say, Touhou fangames

SMTV:V is definitely about as far from Nocturne as you could possibly get, and it definitely has huge "modern game syndrome" but there still seems to be plenty to like about it. Fusing/Team Building is a pretty evergreen concept

Finished Memoria of Creation. Seeing SMT done in rpgmaker like this was very cool. The balance was uhh, unique considering skill/passive copies and the low damage cap and exp curve but it made for a fun and unique experience. Could use a bit more content warning but its only one part of the game.

Memoria of Creation fusing is hilarious. I only confirmed with Life Boost but... you can have multiple copies of the same skill/passive, Life Boost stacks, damage boosts might. You can also have 3 slots of Lunge.

Beated Nocturne, absolutely incredible game, definitely has me wanting to play more SMT in the short term. Chosen inheritance is most certainly way too strong and I kinda wish I ignored using it since it's a pretty huge balance aspect but oh well. Love my Paper Guy Shiki-Ouji

Well got some progress on connection issues. Download is 100% fine at all times but Upload is fucked and when it drops below 6k is when I have issues. Not sure where issue is but it works perfectly for ~3m when router first reboots. I've heard this isn't uncommon with new fiber work, but like, lol

Nocturne's dungeon crawling aspects are incredible. Saves are generally not far (so far) but the constant threat of instant annihilation on top of demon negotiation being such a consistent disaster makes everything tense the moment anything good happens

Big enjoyed The Glitch Fairy. Cute platformer (with cows) with a blend of Mega Man X/Kirby/Touhou influence. I'm not a platformer guy normally and found it extremely likeable. Cool worldbuilding and diverse level concepts. Also a good reminder that I really need to go visit Mega Man at some point.

Willa is a cow scientist who won multiple cowbell prizes for her ingenious inventions. She's one of Monie's closets friends.

A cow scientist? How cute. Is there a chicken doctor somewhere?
