Made whipped cream for the first time tonight. Apparently, according to one person on Threads, I should *not* be proud of myself for that, but I say, “get in the sea,” to that person. I put a liter of heavy cream in the bowl, and added 1/4 cup of white sugar and 1 teaspoon of coconut extract. 🤤

That was pretty much it. There was a rumor that a plane crashed into the Spanish power grid, before that a rumor of cyberattack, and Portuguese authorities made the accusation that the Spanish grid reacted badly to an “atmospheric anomaly.” I’ll check for more details in the morning when I’ve slept.

So, one of my fears about the current admin has been allayed: I just got my new passport hand-delivered to me by a very friendly Royal Mail carrier. For those not following along, I sent it off for renewal 2.5 weeks ago from the US Embassy in London, and I *already* have it back. 😓

Not a safe assumption. People hold the space bar to quickly mark them read. Sometimes, a word stands out, and they pause to read the first two sentences. After that, back to the spacebar. Having worked in both military and private sector positions, this is *not* unusual. Annoying, but normal.

Check their CBT system. If it shows that course complete, they lied or had someone do it for them, both of which are terminable offenses in their positions. Besides, it’s also part of every initial security brief ever given to all 3-letter orgs, including contractors and the cleaning staff.
