OK. I mean I get he's whacked but I heard this as the price of gas is a small price to pay to not be nuked. Without they war Iran could have taken out San Diego or LA -- not that they could have -- not that this is remotely reasonable, but it just doesn't seem to be what is being implied.

My big brother of the heart and I watch this movie every year, drinking White Russians. And I now live in the Owen's Valley, where Tremors was filmed (the Film Museum in Lone Pine CA has a wonderful Tremors exhibit). Wit, charm, humor, just a delight.

I was living in Pakistan working at an American School on 9/11. Several Pakistani students lost family in the WTC. Flew home on 9/24, couldn't believe the lack of "coming together" everyone else seemed to be seeing.

I'm an atheist UU. I absolutely know I know more about most faiths than many, many, many folks who belong to those faiths. Toss in any history? Particularly history of the evolving theology of those faiths? It always shocks me. Like, how can you believe a thing you know NOTHING about?

The UUs and UCCs wrote Our Whole Lives as a lifespan sexuality education beginning in KG. Secular, UU and UCC versions exist. I've only taught the middle school version but it was comprehensive. www.uua.org/lifespan/re-...

The UUs and UCCs have "Our Whole Lives" sexuality education curriculum which begins sexuality education in KG. There are secular, UU and UCC versions. I've only taught the middle school level so can't say if it does what you'd want for young folks. But a start... www.uua.org/lifespan/re-...

Like 4 of our Presidents, I am a Unitarian. Our faith was dropped entirely. We are now "other religions". But sure, Mormons were who were insulted here. Even this argument against Christian Nationalism is about Christians.

I'm an election worker. My county had 50% of our votes counted election night. 50% dropped on Thursday. Not because we cheated but because it takes time to verify signatures, separate by precinct, open and inspect and prep mailed ballots. Dems were told to vote late this election, and they did.

I'm an election worker in Inyo County. By election night we'd processed and tallied 2001 mailed ballots and 850 in person. Thursday, June 4, we processed an additional 2800 mailed ballots. Results posted on election day represented half our total votes In our county everything handled by the public.

As an election worker both at the polls (Precinct Inspector) and on my county's mailed ballot board - thank you. Citizens process the ballots in my county, open envelopes, inspect for errors which would prevent counting. We've processed 2000, will do another 2000 on Thursday. Everyones vote matters.

My county was very low for early ballot returns (what we are seeing now) even below most non-presidential primary years. Low turn out in person but a ton of drop offed mailed ballots. It might take a little while to get solid results on a bunch of races.

I like books. I also like traveling and backpacking and not having the weight of books. I like reading at night without waking my partner, and knowing the book I'm reading is always with me.
