we're not talking about the fact that i took a break, completely changed my plot and have started rewriting. simply take this snippet for the Monster Manor #GoldenSpringShowersDash snippet contest and enjoy. (does this also count as #WIPWednesday? idk)

Once upon a time, on a planet long dead, the gods roamed our lands as we do. They were arrogant and possessing of unfathomable power, able to bend the limits of time, space, and reality to their will. They created, and, indeed, destroyed, as they liked.

Among their number was our god of the mountain, Kazimir. He engaged in much revelry, holding fabulous parties where he would drink and dance for days and nights, drawing in hapless humans to join him.

He would offer them each a gift of gold, and each would ask, “What do you want from me?”

Kazimir would reply, “Why should I want anything from you but your company?”

And so the humans would join him. They would drink, and dance, and be drawn into his bed. They would pass days and nights without rest, never noticing that they were long dead until the party ended, and they would collapse, lifeless, onto the ground.

I pushed the curtain aside to reveal the woman in the picture with the purple hair snoozing away in bed. She looked beautiful in the photo, of course, but seeing her in person like this, with her eyes closed and her face soft in slumber, she almost seemed like a goddess. It certainly didn't help that I very much had A Thing for older women. Although, Jasmin didn't mention quite how old she was. She could be close to her original age, or she could be centuries old!

I looked down to see an adorable cat curled at her feet who was…purple? Was it some kind of special vampire cat who could have unnatural coat colors? What else would I discover about this bizarre wor-

Today's the #HotWetPitStop we're halfway through the jam🤗 I'm reworking the third act now, then moving into edits/revisions/sensitivity reads. I'd love to adapt this eventually bc this dreamcast would be a blast to work with 😍

#hotwetpitstop #hotwetqueersummer I haven't written as much as I wanted to, but every little step counts. 8 chapters and counting (I'm pantsing, I have no idea of length, word count, nothing...), and I'll stop when Nikos and Samuel are done with showing me their love story. Here's a snippet.

His eyes went to that stressed young man then, his pale face. “Something’s wrong?”
“Everything…” It came out as a breath. Samuel blushed. “Not here… with you… it’s just… I’m not sure I can live without my phone… others…”
“Others?” A soft raise of his eyebrows.

“Do you like you?” Eating more, feeding the cat.

“Do you? Like me…?” It had plummeted out of his mouth, clumsy, making his heart race when those blue eyes went to him.
Nikos’ lips pulled up. “That’s not fair.”
“Do you?” Almost choking.
“Yes.”
Samuel exhaled. “See? This matters… to me… that you like me… that…”
“Why?”
“You’re… my friend? We’re friends, right? Sort of… and I never had a friend, really, like you…” Eyes wide when Nikos stood. Samuel was sure that he’d throw him off the boat, soon…
“Come.” Pulling him up, he pulled him to the stairs leading to the cabin.
Down to that stuffy warmth, to that small kitchen, barely a few shelves and a stove, a ventilator giving some air, a small space with some seats and further to the front a bed maybe in that gloom… Samuel was lost a bit, breathless as they were standing close.
“Oh… nice little place…” Words cut when Nikos turned to him, one arm going around his waist and back, the other under his chin. Samuel forgot to breathe.
“You want to be a friend… or more?”

It's #hotwetpitstop time for the #hotwetqueersummer jam!!! Because I've been consumed by other projects, I haven't made much progress with my short story HER PEARLS. But I am slowly chipping away at it. Recent victory was finding a poetic way to say "she nutted so hard, she got an orchiectomy" 🦪💦✨

Strings of pearls came cascading onto her tongue, bathing the muscle with sweet salt. She drank them all down, sucking deep, until one of the fruits balanced daintily on her fingertips was no more.
Caught in her ecstatic high, it took Dottie a moment to register what she had been alleviated of. When the warm haze clouding her senses dissipated, a great shock colored her expression. Before Dottie could vocalize her bafflement, the god tenderly squeezed the length balanced on her tongue with her lips and intoned—
“Now the other.”

The room fell into the quiet hum of the AC and the steady melody of drums and strings, and Melody felt a shiver run through her beneath her frigid clothes. She thought back to the bulky beast shape that Rowen would shift into. The weight of them, the heat of their breath... "What kind of creature are you, then?" She allowed a grin to split her tusks as she looked over to the retreated elf.
Slowly, Angler lifted her forearm, one vibrant eye peering out at Melody. Her eye rolled away, but her gap toothed grin spread from ear to pointed ear. "Y'wanna take a shower? I hate making a mess with it." Without waiting for an answer, Angler hopped up from the couch and stripped off her wet shirt, revealing absolutely nothing underneath. Her tits were cute and perky, her nipples a strong blue, which surprised Melody, as Rowen's had been more of a purple tone.
