My last release for Muse: Audacity 4. Out today! Even though I've been gone a few months (I left when the app was basically done - it just needing a lot of bug fixing). As a final gift to my wonderful team, I put together this release video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTQy...

Generative AI destroys our planet, causes cognitive surrender, the very concept of having a computer to the thinking for you, replace your critical thinking and research skills is immoral. The data to train it is stolen and privacy was broken.

unfortunate the dynamic_rendering_local_read is so badly supported :( although it probably doesn't matter anywhere it isn't supported? but also I don't think intel igpus support it...

am i missing something or is everyone just... fine with every single diagnostic and compiled file path starting with `../` in meson/cmake?? you *can* invoke the compiler from the project root but for some reason meson cant do it?

So I wanted to use #bevy for a 3d game thing, but looks like its performance is so bad, a single 12k tri object with a sky gives me 50% cpu usage and 90% gpu usage.... I guess I'm making my own thing again 😭

Fun fact: while many other languages have syntactic sugar, C is the only language with syntactic hydrochloric acid

It's always so hard to call something "finished" but I'm making a lot of cool stuff with this already tbh 3d.ameo.design/geotoy

A screenshot of the geotoy web app showing a scene that looks like a roof composed of interlocking shingles. the shingles are a curved shape with a shiny gray stone-like texture.

There is a code editor in the bottom left of the screen showing some syntax-highlighted code in a functional-looking programming language. It has variables like `shingle` and function calls like `fan_fill` and contains the code that defines the scene.

In the bottom right of the screen, there is some output showing basic stats about the scene and program like runtime in milliseconds, total vertices, and total face count.

you know, if you don't want to write 'x == nil' in lua, 'x == null' also works
