Good morning friends a pre-dawn #sunrise picture from Glacier National Park #artyear #nationalparks #parkchat #eastcoastkin #scape #landscape
Before sunrise, the scene carries a quiet gravity—mountains drawn in deep indigo silhouettes on both sides, their forms sharpening slowly as the first light gathers behind them. The sky is still mostly blue-violet, but a faint seam of warm color—peach, rose, and the softest gold—opens along the horizon where night is beginning to loosen.

The water below mirrors everything with remarkable clarity. The lake is perfectly calm, turning the mountains and sky into a doubled landscape: dark ridgelines tapering toward the center, and delicate washes of early color drifting across the reflection like a watercolor that hasn’t yet dried. Clouds hang low, tinged with lavender and muted pink, lending the whole image a sense of depth and waiting.
