@katiephang.bsky.social #ParkChat is a National Park chat which we’ve run continuously for 12+ years. We’d be honored if you’d consider guest hosting. “Parks and the Law” seems like an appropriate topic. If you watch the hash #ParkChat you’ll see how we operate. @naturetechfam.bsky.social

The atomic bomb is so far removed from most living consciousness that I feel we need to have as many reminders as possible about the horribleness of it. It's not a joke to "nuke" another country. Minuteman Missile (and related state sites) could also be tied to the overall theme. #ParkChat

A11 #ParkChat I think that more should be added to the Manhattan Project than the three pieces already there. I understand the symbolism of the three parts (Trinity), but Wendover played a role, as did the metallurgy lab in Chicago.

A3 #ParkChat That's a tough question. When I ugly-cry about something, I don't like to be in public, and some of these places will actually incite that level of emotion in me. Doing the wreath laying at Arlington, I can hold it in for the most part, but it's powerful emotion laying wreaths...
Ron doesn't have family around here. He was our friend, so Pat and I make sure he is honored appropriately.
