Because the reporting across outlets hasn’t mentioned it I want to stress that Justice Jackson referenced the courageous & resolute stance of federal judges J. Shelly Wright in Louisiana and Frank Johnson in Alabama who issued school desegregation orders in the face of “Massive Resistance” to Brown.

Today, the Gibson Banks Center for Race and the Law at Maryland Carey Law School released a resource, How Schools Use Reportable Offenses in Maryland: Frequently Asked Questions, which explains when law enforcement must report student arrests to schools and how schools must use this information.

To my own community: this is not just about immigrants.Trump has set up a challenge to the meaning of the provision of the Constitution written & ratified to ensure our full citizenship. We must protect its integrity in full. We can never be silent when the 14th is attacked. It is our legacy.
