Everybody to repeat after me. ED recognition does not grant *authority* to accredit. ED recognition is related to gatekeeping for certain federal programs. One does not need ED recognition to serve as an accreditor. One needs ED recognition to provide access to federal programs like Title IV

Everybody keeps talking about how KTI needs accreditation, but everybody is failing to mention that they also need state authorization in every state where they will have a student. You cannot not operate as a postsecondary institution (accredited or not) without state authorization.
