That's a good idea. I wouldn't mind that and/or a less frequent posting schedule. Whatever works best for mental health.

I like thoughtful surprises. After getting burned with gifts I explicitly said I didn't want, I came up with a system. I give my husband a list of gift ideas (both specific and general), and he passes them on as needed. So I have a surprise that I don't need to pretend to like.

Thanks to my friend Harriet for pointing out that the women went to Christ's tomb and saw he was not there, the angels showed up to describe what happened, & the women then told the apostles, who dismissed them. A Biblical account of women not being believed.

It's an interesting idea, and I think it could work if he has a general outline/plan to pass on.

I'm going to try to remember and do some writing. The prompts are interesting. I'm trying to decide if I combine them into a single story or a series of one shots.

One thing that's really scary is that this could impact foreign nationals who've never lived or worked in the US but are married to US citizens living abroad. They need a taxpayer identification number for the American spouse to get access to some deductions.

The opposition hasn't really played by the rules for decades. The old days (from Reagan onward, if not before) were the Republicans standing firm while the Democrats gave up ground to keep things running. There are very few exceptions to this (Clinton budget comes to mind), so Reps knew they'd cave.

The UK doesn't have annual health checks like US physicals. There are some specific tests based off age or health history and a general health check after age 40. If you have a long-term condition, you'll have scheduled check ups in the appropriate department.

020

modzy78.bsky.social @modzy78.bsky.social · 06/03/2025

It honestly depends on where you are and the severity of the condition. We've had some very quick treatment/tests and some with longer waits. Had the same in the US but without the anxiety about the costs (even with decent insurance).
