As someone who uses Astro, this is great I’ll definitely be using it. But I’ve been doing WordPress development for 20 years and this is nothing like WordPress. Anyone who doesn’t want to use WordPress will think twice before using it.

I do WordPress dev and the apps for local dev are terrible. The official WP app is so bad. They used web assembly? I built my own that uses Apple container framework. Look at the size difference and they both have similar functionality.

Web apps don’t even use half of the features available and that’s sad. I use a lot of recipe websites and almost not a single one uses the Wake Lock API to keep the screen on, which is really what you need when cooking. This is why people think native apps are better 😞
