A vertical, vintage-style travel poster for the useR! 2026 Conference.

The illustration features a stylized bird in flight at the top left, soaring toward a large, orange circular emblem containing a white letter "R" that mimics a rising sun with radiating rays. Below the sun is a minimalist, mid-century modern cityscape of Warsaw, rendered in black, white, and orange, featuring historic silhouettes and a bridge over a river.

The text is presented in a bold, sans-serif font:

Top: "EARLY BIRD TICKETS!"

Middle: "useR! 2026 CONFERENCE"

Bottom: A decorative banner reads "useR! 2026 CONFERENCE | WARSAW • JULY 2026"

Screen shot of text:
Travel patterns show Canadians are choosing different paths
The decline in cross-border travel isn’t small. In January 2026, only 2.1 million Canadians returned from trips to the United States, down from 2.7 million the year before. Car trips fell even harder, dropping 26.3% to 1.3 million crossings.

Air travel decreased 12.8% to about 753,000 trips. For the first time in modern history, more Canadians returned by automobile from overseas destinations than from the United States. This represents a fundamental change in how Canadians choose to spend their travel dollars and vacation time.

It’s worth stating this simply: For literally anyone in the US Govt from 1945 to 2025, Signalgate would require an instant resignation—and a criminal investigation. It would be a matter of personal *honor* to resign. The fact Mike Waltz & Pete Hegseth are choosing to fight it out is a terrible omen.
