A little reminder that positive storytelling is NOT boring and can still address serious and even sad topics. It's just that unlike drama or brooding media, they don't dwell on the bad parts.

Things like that are a bad lesson plan or at the very least, if you're going to have that, show the real consequences of letting people off easy when they do wrong just because of their "tragic past". The big ugly consequences.

I really don't like the trend of things not being black and white in story telling justifying evil or things that are wrong for good reason. You can be a complex character and STILL be a bad guy or outright villain. Or at the very least, it doesn't make you any less guilty.

And you shouldn't take that personally. I don't when the people I watch don't watch me back. You can like the person, but not be into what they create. It's not a personal attack or being inconsiderate. Sometimes, your friends are not audience members and that's ok.

To people who follow just as a means of getting follows, don't do that. I would rather you were real with me please. I don't always read the stuff every person who follows writes not because I don't like them or think they are bad at what they do. It's just that sometimes, the story isn't my thing.

I 10000000% agree. Hate mongering has gone too far and it is honestly worse than a bad movie, game, show, comic, etc. could ever be. At least, I can just turn off my console or TV, but with haters, they're everywhere and it's toxic.

Only go back to your old projects if you're making a new project that relates to them, you intend to remaster the project, or if you're an amateur looking to be discovered and that's the story that gets you scouted. And even then, MOVE FORWARD.

I'm not saying you can't make it big by focusing on one story. I mean, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but most wind up rotting in the long run like Marvel and DC right. Plus, modern Disney is stuck in a timeloop.

Honestly, Walt Disney had the right idea when it came to the artistic process. Once one is done, move onto the next. Don't look back unless it is to receive thanks. No sequels, no remakes. Remaster if you must, but the new project takes priority.

Well... It's done. I decided to post all of my comic and all of my book on Tapas all at once before it closes as a farewell gift. It makes me sad, but my fans are worth it and Tapas was good to me. I wish I could have put ALL my work there, but alas, I only have so much time.

I am still bummed out because I wanted to keep Tapas as my home base, but this happens. Also, this experience gave me the kick in the pants to finally work towards building myself a website. I have to have that to fall back on because you'll never know what the future holds and I want the insurance.

It pains me to have learned that Tapas is not long for this world and it's shame because it was one of the best webcomic communities. I have ever been on. It was kind, diverse, fun and I got a chance to meet a lot of great creators, but alas, all good things come to end.

Romance is beautiful and can make a for great story when you see the pair's journey towards finding their happily ever after, but not every single story needs it and not every character needs to be paired romantically with someone. Like MLP said, friendship is magic and sometimes, it's all you need.

It's ok for a fantasy world to just be a fantasy world with no ties to the politics, issues or woes going on right now. Sometimes, the story about a unicorn really is just simply the story about a unicorn and not an allegory for something else. And that's ok.

Please remember that while it is great to be inclusive and to represent, your story is yours first and your objective is to tell a story. And it's also for that story to not be a vehicle for any kind of thing that's going in the real world right now. It's ok for your story to be an escape.

Excuse me, but please don't blame hobbies for a person's level of maturity. Hobbies do not reflect a person's character or sense of responsibility. Immaturity and the refusal to grow up are learned behavior not a side effect from liking Batman, Disney, Looney Toons, Transformers, Star Wars, etc.
