Decomps have now become synonymous with the projects that they enable: PC ports. Twilight Princess with Dusklight, Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time have their respective ports. In my opinion, this has done more damage to the decompilation scene than LLMs ever did.

Haven't posted on here in a minute, huh? I've been fine with LLM usage in decompilation for a while, with some exceptions for cases where the source can be leaked (e.g. SDK, nw4r, etc). That said, they are undoubtedly the driving force of public perception of decomp quality loss.

in other news: reversing wii's ios networking code and i found extremely helpful debug info in an certain _gamecube_ game titled "Mario Kart: Double Dash!!" …i forgot this game has networking code….because of LAN mode.…probably the only source for these symbols.….thank you so much nintendo ily.....

Wow, I didn't expect you leaking this list, really shows your true face and who you are! Atleast now there's no big secret around it anymore. Although you are framing this as us excluding people, we are doing this to prevent any further escalations of any conflicts after 10+ people pulled their tracks.

We're literally trying to prevent further escalations and track pulls. This was done to respect the people who don't want anything to do with AI.

As previously mentioned, this has nothing to do with pettiness and instead we want to prevent any further drama. We want to leave people alone that seem like they want to be left alone, and we want to be left alone with any drama ourselves aswell.

It already happened and we can't reverse time. We reacted in this way to prevent any further track pulls or beef with the community.

Regardless, she did leak internal content after we trusted her with highly-privileged permissions and she never approached us with her concerns about this blacklist. To me, it just doesn't feel like she's interested in properly talking things out.

Additionally I want to explicitly highlight that the context around the list is missing in the leaks. Everyone who works with this list actively, knows what it means. It doesn't attempt to portray anyone in any light, it solely should be considered a "Do not interact with those people or what they made" list. The list has many purposes, not just one. It aims to reduce drama/fights in the community and properly ensures bad actors who engaged in inappropriate conduct do not get a platform.
