The graphic shows the effect when earnings are almost stagnant for a period but my query was how does it work if earnings are always greater than CPI or 2.5%, something we hope would happen. Would earnings in the general population leave the pensioners behind?

Patriot Platform assumes that people coming on the boats are not refugees. That's really unkind I have to say. The majority of the people claiming asylum are granted it. So they are refugees. How would Danny Tommo feel if the roles were reversed?

Perhaps the media should stop calling them asylum seekers and call them potential refugees. Or, give them the benefit of the doubt (innocent until proven guilty) and call them refugees. Humans that travel huge distances to find a safe country deserve that. Seekers implies they may not qualify.

I support this. Take the simple example of 6 parties, one gets 34%, 4 get 20% and one gets 6% of the vote. Under FPTP the 34% party gets to govern us all. 66% of the votes are disregarded. It's tyranny of the biggest minority.

What can Burnham do differently? There is no hidden stash of money he can use. He will need to spend a lot more on defence. He will want to get closer, faster to the EU but I don't blame the EU for being cautious as Farage is still around and stronger than in 2016. No change then really!

How can this be true? Mr Trump made Zelensky sign a minerals deal as having American interests in Ukraine would be the strongest deterrent to Putin attacking Ukraine. Surely Mr Trump was right wasn't he? Or, was he simply lying in order to exploit Ukraine for his own gain?

Couldn't agree more but, get real, he's got the uk's cojones in a vice over its defence. The UK is sooooo dependant on the US for its defence capability that until we can extricate ourselves from them we have no choice but to stay "loyal" to USA until Trump is no more.
