I just love it! I bought the greenhouse last spring so this is the first time it's been used in the fall and winter. Hopefully the lettuce will thrive.

One variety has really popped up! I didn't think I sowed that many of them, but they were tiny seeds and I wasn't being too fussy. More of the romaine (far left) will hopefully sprout. I grew both of these last spring and both germinated well. I love the idea of fresh lettuce all winter!

Ready for winter (even though it's not yet winter). The frame's been out for awhile, awaiting cooler weather. We have that starting today, with cold nights, so I put the cover on today. Won't zip it up until evening. Lots of tiny lettuce sprouts on the left are hard to see. #Garden

A small greenhouse sits in a raised garden bed. Its front flap is unzipped for the daytime. Sharp eyes and big enlargement may make all the tiny lettuce sprouts show. More should be coming. That's all for this winter, I think. The fabric in the rear isn't for frost, but to collect all the tiny leaves from the tree above as they fall. There are millions, at least, of them.

Thanks! I assumes it chops fairly evenly? The one I have just goes straight to mince, unevenly. I'm not overly fussy about evenly, but it needs to be similar, at least. I agree about the big one -- I do use it when necessary, but too much trouble to clean.

I don't mind if you butt in. I have a regular blender and full-sized Cuisinart processor, but in my old age I'd primarily like to be able to chop (not mince) onions/garlic and other veggies, plus make 1 salad dressing serving, and the one I have hasn't worked for me. I have a stick blender, too.

That's true, but I sometimes get calls from random neighbors who aren't in my contact list, or state agencies that I rely upon and which likely come from a variety of numbers. I need to get better at adding these to my contacts.

That's what the PD said. And the guy wanted me to look up the phone number for the EPD so that when I got a call from them I'd know it was the right one. He already had the number. Pretty sure they would have faked a call from that number eventually, but I told them I'd call the PD myself.

I'm not gullible in general, and if I'd really thought about it, if ICE or DHS or DEA really wanted to get me, they wouldn't tell me about it in advance. They'd just break down my door, shoot first and ask questions later. Sadly.

If it hadn't been Border Patrol, I would have hung up, I think. But as I said, with the state of our country anything is possible. I would never have given them any money, assuming I had money.

It was a local phone number, and really there are lots of numbers I wouldn't recognize that are neighbors, or something reasonable. They didn't actually ask for any information, other than me verifying that I didn't know anything about the drug packages.

It was a long call -- various transfers, etc. Scary as hell, to be honest. But the EPD told me to block the number and if I got any similar calls to just hang up. Word to the wise in case anyone ever gets a call like this!

get a call from my local police chief right away, but after a few minutes I called the department and was told it's an old scam. I didn't give them any info, but they already had my address and phone number and they tried to panic me, I think, but I didn't panic (on the surface, anyway).
