Only few mammals were common in the long travel pipes. Therefore Freggie was quite surprised when a bunny popped up next to her.. and soon started to make quite the desperate noises! She knows how to help when someone badly needs air though :3 Lineart by Shoxxe, coloring by me~ Zootopia 2 was fun!

You are just envious that other people can enjoy what you don't for self-inflicted reasons.

Seyah and Ta'hira joined the performance roster at a regional waterpark. Both love the water after all, but can they last until the timer at the top runs out and also impress the passing viewers with some moves? - This aquatic show with a Na'vi and otter is drawn by: www.deviantart.com/pelle131313

I mean.. Maybe, but it's expensive and Germany has shown it works without. Chart of power production (red is nuclear, yellow is fossils and bluegreen is regenerative)

Isn't Seyah cute? :3 Her name is an anagram of the Na'vi word "syeha" which means "breath". Commissioned from the talented @zerotwo9s.bsky.social <3

[3/3] Freggie has to wait for the Tide! A really awesome image series drawn by ChiptheHedgehog for me over on DA: www.deviantart.com/chipthehedge... P.s. see the "alt text" for a short story or here: www.deviantart.com/miarathemer/...
Time passes - over twelve hours - but eventually air enters this cave again with the low tide. It takes only a little longer until our dear frog touches the surface or her butt at least - but this is enough!

Freggie's heart has been beating the whole time. The frog essentially sleeping.

On first sight her kind may only have their color and webbed paws in common with their small, feral ancestors, but there is one additional skill they have retained: The ability to absorb oxygen from the water through the skin!

It is by far not enough to keep them conscious and will at first only prolong the drowning process. But once "asleep", it is enough to keep them alive for days as long as water currents refresh the water enough.

So when air touched her skin finally, an impulse went through her body, causing one more burst of adrenaline and the breathing instinct to kick in.

Freggie quickly bursts through the surface, gasping in a deep breath of air ontop of the water that's in her lungs. getting fresh oxygen matters more than getting the water out. Of course that leads to coughing violently but Freggie has had this happen often enough that she can control herself enough so it does not hurt.

Now she has the whole night to finally make it out of this cave. As she swims, she hopes that she didn't worry anyone by taking so long.

Freggie is an experienced breathholder, able to roam around at her underwater hometown with little use of the airpockets provided for airbreathers like her. However clearly even she has limits!

She struggled as long as she could and her face even turned purple from the oxygen deprivation but eventually the urge to inhale becomes too overwhelming.

Her webbed paw snaps to her throat when her chest convulses violently drawing water into her mouth.

It's a familiar feeling to this frog when her the water floods her lungs entirely and her erratic movements slow down. Her eyes fall shut...

Unconscious, Freggie drifts freely in the water. The currents sway her around comfortably. Some water is in her chest and her face is simply blue now.

No air surface is in sight and it won't be for almost twelve hours.

Freggie is in trouble! The Atlantean frog went on her own to explore a cave system. Used to live at the bottom of the ocean in the famous aquatic city, she thought any cave near the surface would be easy in comparison. After all it had plenty of air. Just unfortunate that she is not very familiar with tides!
Now she hours away from the exit and the water is rising and rising.

Soon she is forced to hold her breath, making use of the copious amount of air she can hold in her cheeks. But is there any chance that is enough?
Her chest is already contracting regularly within her skintight swimsuit and bubbles leak past her webbed paw on her mouth...
