If there's one thing I know about Furry it's that we value authenticity. Thus, I chose to make only one Instagram instead of two. That way, my participation in the fandom is recorded alongside my authorship. And that about does it! I'll post another big update thread when I have more big updates.

As an added little note: I've started an Instagram. I've been learning the platform more and more and while, yes, its @Mistowrites and not @Radicalden my plan is indeed to use it to post some reels content which will pipeline back to studio work.

So where am I at on that? 3 out of 5 domains. My plan is to finish this week so I have the majority of October to work on these projects--considering they're both due November 1st. I'll be burning throughout October. I can't guarantee any little lore snippets or silliness here on bsky til I'm done

For the uninitiated, I'm part of the Furry IT Mafia, and as a result I need to get recertified through continuing education every few years. I had already planned on doing this through September/October. It was by chance that so many new submission opportunities came up this month.

Bleh. What a couple weeks its been. Lets get an update: Myth & Metal -- Probably done. My editor has it, but hasn't had much to say. I'll be tapping them on the shoulder soon about it. We got approval to submit some cover art alongside the work but I haven't commissioned it yet.

I saw @roscoegbeetle.bsky.social post his #my9animes so I thought I'd do the same... 2010s era obscure netflix anime hit for me like NO OTHER. Last Exile is one of the few anime I own physically. Im actually planning a novel project heavily inspired by the work! It was so hard to choose honestly.

I have never heard of it! The earliest piece of furry media I read was TwoKinds which I found before I was a furry (the prophecy). I met Tom Fischbach at AC25 and it felt like a sort of full circle moment.

I have been told that the number one thing a writer can do to improve their craft is to live life. My life has shown me that togetherness and community is the greatest thing there is. It's the real act of resistance. It's the way you fight the dark. I can't wait to write that story someday.

Do I love or hate furries headlining at WorldCon? I was so afraid to write in the fandom because I was worried a publisher would be like 'I don't wanna be associated with that.' But also, the fandom has been so good to me, I want to give back to it, and this feels like legitimacy... Super weird.

Design notes for Kal were basically: Constantly grumpy. Killdozer guy meets Megas XLR. Heart in the right place but the worst methods. SYL on the other hand is more interesting. What if an AI grew into its own person? What if it learned from its programming and former pilots? Who would it be?

The Empress is a character I went back and forth a LOT on as the political context around us changed throughout the development of the story. I think we've reached a point now where she can be both victim and perpetrator. And I like that so much more than simply defining her one way. #Foxxoverse

We conceived of the Dominion as a way to limit the amount of territory the Volnic Empire has control over. I didnt think it was feasible one society could control every world in an entire galaxy. Plus, I really like the idea that there are worlds that the Empire hasn't taken. Yet. #Furrylit
