I just got a "not feeling a connection" email from a kid's book rep I wrote to in June. Were these people raised in a fucking swamp or something? Who thinks anyone is waiting to hear they've passed on a submission after half a year has passed? The temerity of some people.

Without any real disrespect meant, I am floored by the way other people waste your time when you're looking for work. I was rejected by an agent last week who had my samples for six months. I stopped myself before telling her I wouldn't have wanted to work with someone who would do that anyway.
