I think the issue with random encounters is that they tend to interrupt a flow the player was in without warning. They want to go to X to do Y, and if they don’t want or need to battle, it can end up feeling like an annoyance, especially if it’s sudden. It’s why I prefer overworld encounters.

Quite literally had a cat who was impossible to keep indoors that died early directly because of their time outside. My two babies will not be going outside and are thankfully not eager to. Never ever let your cat be an outdoor cat if you can help it.

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes
