That’s it! You want a 4WD? Prove the why. Wanna drive your kids around the city? Denied. Farming family? Approved. They made people carrier vehicles for big families, they do a perfectly fine job. It’s wild how people just want a big car to feel “safer” while making everyone less safe

I don’t know why they keep bringing these oversized heaps of junk over this way when our spaces aren’t big enough. People say “the spaces aren’t big enough for the cars” like it’s the spaces problem and not the oversized tonka trucks

I finished the 4th book in the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants series. This might not sound like a big deal. But it is a big deal when you know what happens in the 5th and final book. I’m not ready. I first read it in 2011. 15 years later, I’m still not ready.

Enquired about piano lessons. It’s £16.50 for 30 minutes, for weekly sessions. Which means about £66 a month. Technically I have the money…but I’m also conscious of spending said money. But I also have extra time on my hands 🤣

He didn’t even charge me for tightening the terminal 😭 find yourself a garage that will do very basic stuff for free. This guy has been amazing every time. Multiple times he’s done everything he can so that my bill is as small as possible.

I bet this happens a lot. They occasionally get parts in then realise they’re not needed. I’m trying not to feel bad because I didn’t say I definitely needed anything, I’m not a mechanic.

So…the verdict is that one of the terminals had come loose, and he’s tightened that back up. Which means I don’t need a new battery or terminals?! He said my battery seemed quite new. It’s 4 years old! I assume it’ll be much cheaper…back outside again!

Tell me why the HMRC are reporting my tax code as the code I had at work *with some taxable benefits* and not the full tax code I should be entitled to?! Why must you give me more work to do?

It’s easier to explain to these guys in person what is going on, and the main guy is always pretty switched on. He said the battery itself in theory shouldn’t be an issue (because of what is happening) but the terminals are likely to be.

I told the garage I *might* need a new battery, and there *might* be corrosion on the terminals. The info they wrote down makes it sound like that’s definitely the issue. They’ve ordered all the parts 😅 but he said we can try that, it’ll hopefully address the issue and if not we can explore further

After I drop my car off tomorrow I’m going to go for a little walk and read. Then when I get home I’ll have a quick breakfast and after that it’s on to job applications! I have like 3 to complete, and there might be new jobs tomorrow to apply for. So I shall GO GO GO!

Don’t let me forget to take my car in to the garage tomorrow to (hopefully) resolve a long running minor inconvenience issue that’s been getting steadily worse. And let’s hope it doesn’t cost me too much because while I have the money…my funds are limited until I find a job 😅

Tomorrow afternoon I have a jobcentre appointment for 10 minutes via video. But before that I’m meeting a guy at the Tesco cafe to discuss volunteering with his very cool neuroqueer organisation.

This week has been rather strange. It started off nicely, spending time with a friend and seeing my mum and my niece and nephew. Then my book club was great. Then I went downhill a bit. Had a difficult day Wednesday and then therapy today. Chatted with 2 other friends today, which was nice.
